There will be a seasonal extreme low tide at my Tidal Earthcache at 6:03 AM on Friday, 31 March. Anyone interested in getting as close as possible to the cache location should try to be there!

Time and tide wait for no one, so be sure to get there early enough to walk out to the water, about ¾ mile.

What is the waypoint listing? I search for Caches by zipcodes and distance from my house so far but I do know how to find it with the waypoint also. Might try it with the kids...

Shouldn't that read 6:03 AM? It looks like the evening tide isn't nearly as low.
I have had this one on my list of caches to do for a long time, but unfortunately my schedule and the tides haven't coincided for a good attempt at this one. Looks like another good chance I am going to have to skip.

Great, thanks Slate but am or pm wil make a huge difference for me. Hate to drag the kids all that far to not be able to reach it. I'll have to check into that.

I checked out the description and some logs of this cache. I didn't know what an earth cache was until now. I'd like to do this before tourist season, (did I say that?) early spring, late fall, winter. We do something like this at Popham.

I'll see if I can make that one. You should make the date a beer and wings event in Portland that afternoon. At Gritty's or somewhere similar. That I could do.

It looks like GC.com actually allows posting an event 18 months in advance! I think I'll wait, out of respect for all those who would hate to see a cache go unfound for that long! :)

If anyone else is interested few of us are going to do the cache next week on the 31st. We will be meeting on the OOB side of things and walking out together. I think the time we discussed was 5:30 AM.

Maybe a cup of coffee afterwards.

All are welcome.

If you haven't done this cache yet, it's well worth it. I did this one last Feb at sunset, cold but neat.

I'm in! If we're meeting at 5:30, it will have to be at the parking lot. Does anyone need coordiantes for the parking lot?

We thought the seasonally low tide was last month and we were bummed we missed it. Since we didn't, we're going to try and make it. It will be 1 day before our daughter's 2nd birthday. Happy Birthday little one!

Wow, thanks for the heads up about the 3/4 mile walk, we'll make sure we aren't late. Anyone know the sunrise time for the 31st? We've been to OOB before but parking lot coordinates would be great.

Where does this fit in with the hoamdezinah's cache which raised the question "Are you addicted"?

coordinates would be good, right now I am planning on going if I can but if I have to babysit I may be bringing my grandson out for his first caching experience. Of cource that all depends if I can get moving at that hour:D :D :D that is early to start:D :D

Just asking such a question proves you are addicted! :)

This is looking like a perfect oppurtunity to go. The weather is going to be perfect, with a high pressure zone directly over the ocean.

Parking can be found at: 43 32.461 70 20.221.
