Hello everyone,

Just starting this GeoCache Craze. I recently discovered using a GPSr and I am looking forward to the adventure.

I am not new to the outdoors or to hiking and camping, but this combination of nature and high tech is creating a whole new synergy.

I think I'll look for my first cache this afternoon. Looks like there is one just down the road. Wish me luck!

Thanks in advance to those who lend a helping hand to the newbies

You don't need to know anything. Just read the descrition and follow the GPS to the cooridantes. Oh, you may have to read the huint somtimes.

Welcome to the Craze.

Welcome. This is the site to be, as mentioned before any questions are welcomed. You will be addicted to geocaching before long if not already!

Speaking of being addicted to geocaching Jordan ,how come there are so many caches by Northwoods Explorer up your way that are still unfound? I 'll tell you if they were down this way they would have been found before the sun rose........;)

Welcome neighbor. I'm learning a lot from this sight, read new and old posts, think about joining us at the pig roast in June. Its just down the road and you'll learn a bit and meet some people.:)

I like the fact that you put "regulars" in quotation marks since there's nothing regular about many of these "regulars." :D

P.S. Welcome to the forum. Feel free to ask questions . . . it's one way of learning.

First, thanks for the welcomes.

2nd, I logged my first find this afternoon. (Lisbon Falls Fishing Park Cache by Katadin Goddess) It is jut 3/4 miles from work so I decided to swing by. It wasn't quite as easy as I thought it might be, but I learned a lot.

Nope, hidden in rocks though. I was a DNF (did not find) without the clue.:p

That was rookie mistake No. 1 for me. I didn't bring my print out. Lots of hidding places to look through. The dress shoes and tie didn't help either. Ohterwise lots of fun and a gret view of the river and dam.
