View Full Version : Happy Independence Day Mainiac1957 07-04-2006, 05:31 AM I'd like to hope everyone has a safe and happy Fourth of July. Whether your on the trails or on the water as I will be. Take time to appriciate what we have here compared to some other places in the world. Have a good week and I'll catch you on the trails.;) vicbiker 07-04-2006, 06:13 AM Three years ago today I awoke to the sound of a steam whistle announcing that the pancake breakfast was ready.We had just spent the night with some of the greatest Americans I've ever meant.They were all in their eighties and nineties and have been gathering here every year to celebrate the Fourth with a steam tractor show.All across America that summer as we pedal along we meant some great Americans.People who took us in gave us a place to stay,fed us or were just plain great people to be around.Small town America is the same everywhere rather it be Maine or Minn.country people are great people. I have never been prouder to be an American then on that trip.So lets go out there today and make some one proud they know us. Happy Fourth of July Vic tat 07-04-2006, 07:02 AM Happy 4th everyone!! Sadly, some of the great fireworks we enjoyed on our last visit (15-or-so year ago) are now illegal. :( :( ) |
