Hiram357 04-15-2007, 08:44 PM This is a pure guess, but is it "101 DALMATIONS # 59 SAM"? Haffy 04-16-2007, 01:31 PM Hey PJ that took a lot of work to go through and do that and I appreciate that. I never thought that when I first started this thread there would be the problem with running out of photos to post. I guess that is a good thing as it caused a lot of interest and posts. I too am running low on good photos but with almost 10 gigs of pics on my computer I'm sure I can come up with many more to keep things going. Like I have mentioned in previous posts I use Photobucket to store any of my photos that I use to post on here,it is so easy as you are given the code to upload and everything. It's not a PIA at all as Brad mentions...;) and only takes a couple of minutes. I also use Windows Power Toys Image resizer to make them small for not only you guys but also for myself as being on dial-up is a royal PI the A__... as Brad mentioned....:D I hope that this thread has indeed made it easier for others to see what a great state we live in and make everyone want to get out and enjoy what geocaching has to offer. Haffy 04-16-2007, 01:40 PM I'm not sure if I have been to that cache or not but I certainly wouldn't have climbed it, that is one thing I know for sure....Heights aren't my favorite thing. tat 04-16-2007, 08:30 PM If you're out of pics and still want to play, you can make a link to a pic that is on the GC.com website. Here's how: Go to the cache page Click on Visti the Gallery, (xx images) Click on the picture you want. A page will come up with that pic and the log. Click on the pic again and a page will come up with just the pic. Copy the adderss in your browser and paste it into the post Type in front of the address Type after the address. firefighterjake 04-17-2007, 07:45 AM Ok, here's a stumper (that I'm positive at least one person will know and appreciate) :D :D :D http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j201/apmcgarvey/Toyoda.jpg Hint: It's a cache with bark. I love it . . . Good luck! tat 04-17-2007, 05:48 PM I think I know, but I didn't find it. msteelee 04-17-2007, 05:55 PM Well, Tom, the good part is, you did find the cache - so it's just a matter of remembering it! :) tat 04-17-2007, 06:43 PM Now I remember! Understandably. 4-5 out of my 9 TB's have been inactive for over 8 months and 3 for 3 geocoins have been missing since visiting only 1 or 2 caches, 2 of them went missing after only being picked up once. I personally will never but out another TB or geo-coin and I'm still debating if I should put out the coin that Cache Maine dedicated to us or keep it. Seems someone else will just steal it if I put it out. Fortunately, only one of my geocaches has gone missing, and I replaced it and have had no issues with it. Someone out there must have a huge collection of geo-coins and jeeps as these things disappear from action within a very, very short time. Too bad cause it kind of ruins that part of the sport for the rest of us. :( firefighterjake 04-19-2007, 03:44 PM So is it your anniversary Jake or did you break something? I know, you forgot Mrs. FFJ's birthday:rolleyes: Let's see . . . nope, not our anniversary. My wife helped me out on that point . . . we were married on August 31st (last day in the last month of "Summer") in 1996 . . . so remembering this date is pretty easy. I also haven't broken anything lately . . . and the last time "I" broke anything of my wife's was when I left my ATV plow out in the garage and she stumbled over it in the dark while going out for Chinese during the Ice Storm of 1998 and broke her wrist. I'm pretty sure I haven't broken anything else of her's in terms of possessions. And check, I remembered her birthday . . . once again she made it easy on me by being born on Feb. 1st . . . one day before Groundhog's Day . . . although I must confess for a long time I kept thinking it was on Groundhog's Day. This said . . . as a dim-witted guy I often forget things that are important, when it comes to home improvement projects I am mentally impaired and when it comes to using logic and reason . . . well, let's just say I'm no Vulcan . . . and yet time after time despite the many mistakes I make she continues to forgive . . . You've just got to have faith in others . . . which truly is a strange thing for me to say since this runs counter to my belief about the core being of people in general. I will say I've had pretty good luck (knock on fake wood desk) with my TBs that I've released. To the best of my knowledge two of them are sitting in caches and one was recently picked up by a cacher (my famous . . . well famous in my own head . . . Bangor Ladder.) My caches have done pretty well so far . . . other than some water issues and one multi stage that must have been found my a muggle and just left on a park bench. Have faith . . . just try one cache . . . pick a place that is out of the way and a place that may not be as apt to be muggled for that first cache . . . making it a members-only cache may also help reduce the likelihood of their being issues. It is off _______ on the ______/_______ line. There is parking nearby. People drive by here all day long and probably don't even realize that there is a beautiful spot like this just a minute from the road. Take the time to take it all in. This is a short trail walk to an easy cache. You're looking for a camo med small lock and lock container. If you have little ones with you watch them close along water. Use caution, the trail could be muddy and slippery at certain times of the year. Haffy 04-27-2007, 08:44 PM Ok I'll bite and say '"The Old Mill Stream" GCXNN6 hollora 04-27-2007, 09:38 PM Nice job! This is day 150 ski for me. Haffy 04-28-2007, 04:58 PM When we cached here last fall I think this was one of the hardest caches to find. Apparently the previous cacher who found it didn't put it back where it was previously and it took us a while to come up with it. Perseverance paid off though and we finally found the " Welcome to the Nordic Heritage Center" cache GCWM76. Northwoods Explorer 04-28-2007, 07:47 PM It is indeed a difficult one to find if the cacher places it where it should be located. The cache hint generally tells it all for those that can figure it out. You are correct with the name of the cache. Managed it without any hints.:D Haffy 04-28-2007, 09:11 PM Ok it seems most of you have found my photo caches to be easy to identify ,so this one might be a little harder. This was the type of cache I really liked as well. It was adopted by the BRLT after I informed them of some of Pike Patrol's caches falling into disrepair and they in turn got in touch with them and decided to adopt all of their caches on their land trusts. The Gregory Trail is just one of many nice caches in the area now maintained by the BLRT. It is called "ONE,IF BY LAND " GC16CO. Thanks for bringing me back there Dave. Sudonim 05-12-2007, 10:45 AM I liked this cache. It's one of the caches near Boothbay harbor that I found on my FIRST day of caching, way back in '03. Haffy beat me to it while I was trying to find which cache it was :) brdad 05-12-2007, 10:55 AM You're right, John. Your turn. I was mistaken - I wish I had looked at the cache images to be sure. I was right about the weekend. I got it confused with Back Cove Quest. Haffy 05-12-2007, 02:52 PM This spot you will go by on your way to the cache which is close by. http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a125/haffy6/cacheplaces135Medium.jpg FuddsGirls 05-12-2007, 05:29 PM I'm glad you saw it too, haffy, to confirm I know where it is. I should be right anyway, and if I am, you have been there Fudds, and Hiram has not. Also IIRC, the cache was not right next to the boat, and there may have even been a different path you could take and never see the boat. So drive me crazy to try and figure it out. I looked at all the cahe logs and there isn't onw from me, but thanks for the challenge. Haffy 05-12-2007, 05:59 PM You're right, John. Your turn.
