View Full Version : Should Hiram send in a Testimonial??? d’76 03-22-2007, 07:57 PM So.... Todays question is: Should Hiram send in a testimonial for his Garmin and see if he gets any free stuff?????:D brdad 03-22-2007, 08:01 PM Yes, and he should mention all his friends at Geocaching Maine when he does! Hiram357 03-22-2007, 08:22 PM nah!!! he needs to go buy a magellan!!.... wait a min... nvm, that's me, I DON'T WANT A MAGELLAN!!! Dave and Gail 03-22-2007, 08:24 PM I think Hiram forgot to mention that his GPS was a magellan, and once it got ran over and plowed over, it was rendered useless and turned into a Garmin.:p LOL Just Kidding,,,I think he should definately tell this tale to the folks at Garmin, they may use him in a commercial or something. Maybe get and extra unit as a spare. :D Hiram357 03-22-2007, 08:27 PM I think Hiram forgot to mention that his GPS was a magellan, and once it got ran over and plowed over, it was rendered useless and turned into a Garmin.:p LOL Just Kidding,,,I think he should definately tell this tale to the folks at Garmin, they may use him in a commercial or something. Maybe get and extra unit as a spare. :D wow!!!! that's the first decent garmin crack a magellan user has ever made!!! (probably because they don't usually get an oppourtunity to make one....) :D :p Sudonim 03-22-2007, 08:38 PM Maybe they will send him a bright orange broom handle that he can tie to his GPS. Maybe that way he can keep track of it better! Haffy 03-22-2007, 08:44 PM Here yah go Aaron, give it a shot!!!! http://www.garmin.com/whatsNew/testimonials.html Hiram357 03-22-2007, 08:50 PM Here yah go Aaron, give it a shot!!!! http://www.garmin.com/whatsNew/testimonials.html shux tho, i tisn't no good with them thar werd thingz... :o FuddsGirls 03-23-2007, 06:57 AM Yes, and he should mention all his friends at Geocaching Maine when he does! If Hiram mentions his friends here, they might check us out and see what Hiram is really like. How many times has that thing been dropped anyway? Maybe there's commercial stardom in it. Hiram357 03-23-2007, 07:52 AM I dunno, the vote is only 8 - 2 right now, that's not really anything good to make judgment on.... that's like 1/2 of 1/2 of 1/2 of the majority... d’76 03-23-2007, 07:59 AM Now its 9-2 Sounds like you better git typin:D firefighterjake 03-23-2007, 08:24 AM Now its 9-2 Sounds like you better git typin:D 11-2 . . . I voted for Hiram sending in a testimonial . . . maybe he will get free stuff, maybe not . . . more importantly to me whenever I am very pleased with a product (and conversely whenever I have issues with a product) I try to let a company know how I feel to give them some feedback . . . besides I think what this poor Garmin unit has gone through clearly shows that their product is resilient and a quality unit. Haffy 03-23-2007, 09:02 AM Getting better, 12-2 now WhereRWe? 03-23-2007, 09:08 AM I think it's time to get SERIOUS! Hiram - go ahead and send a testimonial! You've got a good story - and pictures to prove it - and geocachingmaine.org could get some publicity as well. GO FOR IT! :D :D cape ann carol 03-23-2007, 10:18 AM That is quite the story....and form what im reading you have many more stories...that poor little gps...LOL! Foxgloves 03-23-2007, 12:12 PM Hey I say go for it! People have gotten their fame from doing a lot worse. What do you have to lose? And you could possibly gain a brand new GPS or maybe even stock in the company... http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c284/EMSDudette/OB_MAK11.gif Team2hunt 04-30-2007, 04:35 PM Have you done anything with the story? If it were a beer testimonial it would have been done along time ago. And they do give away free beer! hollora 04-30-2007, 08:10 PM There is no question you should send it in. Nothing ventured - nothing gained. GCM has nothing to do with the story = it is all yours and stick to it. My best that they will recognize what you have to tell is a testimony to the quality of thier product. Once recognized that is is worth a little something. |
