View Full Version : RE: Name the "new" cacher
firefighterjake 03-29-2007, 09:05 AM This past Sunday there was a bit of a discussion between Aaron and Steph about her getting an on-line geocaching name and account . . . to help them out I figured we could get a poll going on what Steph's new geocaching name should be. :D
Sudonim 03-29-2007, 11:03 AM How 'bout Guinness lite? :D

Hey now! that's my wife you're talkin about! :p
Dave and Gail 03-29-2007, 07:08 PM How about "Angel". She must be one to put up with Hiram all the time!!:D Actually it shows what kind of person she is to love someone that has only been out of prison such a short time. The constant check in by the parole officer,,,the ankle bracelet,( must be uncomfortable at certain times), not to mention those ugly green ink jailhouse tatoos. I'm sure things will get better after its off his record,,stolen gun smuggling does'nt stay on your record all that long, and once he's through rehab. its all uphill from there. We think "Cutiepie" would be a good name also, she is awful cute. Happy Caching,,,,Dave and Gail" and Shamis:D

So far none of the names seem to strike center for her (I'm not telling her about the bettter1/2 suggestion...)
I suggested names like the seven dwarves Grumpy or Whiney... she didn't like those either (well, she didn't say she didn't like em, but I could just tell from the way she hit me...)

ahhh, ok
but the 357 in my name isn't derived from the .357, if it was explained it would be more like 3, 5, & 7

Haffy 04-04-2007, 09:32 PM It means "Lake of the Loons" So that means you are Loonie....lol
Medawisla 04-04-2007, 10:07 PM It means "Lake of the Loons" So that means you are Loonie....lol
Nope, it's simpler than that...:D :p
Don't I have to be somewhat of a loonie to be Hiram's wife?? :D
There'll be a picture to go along with the name soon enough...
Mainiac1957 04-04-2007, 10:28 PM It's the name the Indians gave to the loons. At least that's what I was able to learn. Very nice Steph. A good name for sure
Hiram357 04-04-2007, 10:33 PM now who's the loon!!! :D :D :D
attroll 04-05-2007, 12:09 AM I did a search on the web and founs that "medawisla" is what the indians call a heard of loons.
Medawisla 04-05-2007, 08:00 AM Righty O! :D
Loons, plural, so I suppose a "herd" or probably a flock would do :) ;)
Trezurs*-R-*Fun 04-05-2007, 08:28 AM I did a search on the web and founs that "medawisla" is what the indians call a heard of loons.
I thought it meant "looney"?? :D
firefighterjake 04-05-2007, 08:52 AM Hurrah . . . Steph's got a name . . . I have no idea of how to pronounce it and imagine trying to remember how to spell it will be a bit of a challenge, but at least all is well in the Hiram household as now Aaron can go on-line and not worry about missing some thread.
So the whole Captain Planet thing didn't work for you, huh? ;) :D

Well to be honest, I liked the Captain Planet thing, but I was so young when my sisters and I would watch it that we called them all barbies with power, we didn't know their names. :p
Medawisla is pronounced MED.a.wis'la, with soft vowels. Unless someone knows otherwise?
Luckily, I'm good with spelling
hollora 04-05-2007, 06:01 PM I like it - very original!
Beach Comber 04-05-2007, 06:08 PM Very nice! Though you will always be "IDon'tMindPlasticFlowers" to me - lol!!!
Medawisla 04-05-2007, 06:48 PM Very nice! Though you will always be "IDon'tMindPlasticFlowers" to me - lol!!!
That's fine too. We all have many parts to make up who we are. That'll be the environmentalist in me ;)
Foxgloves 04-05-2007, 07:54 PM Great choice for a name! Very unique.
Your avatar is really cute too....:)

Thanks! I was tagging loons and taking blood samples and kissing them in between :D The chicks are so fluffy and soft, but heavy, loons are heavy birds. The adults are as soft as they look, incrediably tight, small, soft feathers.:)
