Since Cameooooo enlightened me in another thread that cache pages now tell how many Finds and DNFs are listed, I'm wondering if we can find the top 5 caches with the most finds and DNFs?

What in the World Cache? must be #1 at 2567 finds
Fort McClary Cache should be in the top 5 at 555 finds
Cadillac Mountain Cache should be in the top 5 for finds at 544 finds
Patty's Mount Battie might be in the top 5 at 261 finds

I think Old 470 is in the top 5 posted DNFs with 48 DNFs.

Can anyone find a cache in the top 5 or prove me wrong with mine?

Edit: Current findings:

Laughing Terry's Right in Plain Sight has 48 DNFs . . . I'm not sure if that would put that cache in the Top 5 for DNFs or not.

I can't get GC128 to load either. Interesting...

Least number of finds on a virtual?

Gut Sandwitch has 5.

Surprisingly many of LT's other Plain Sight caches did not have as many DNFs . . . maybe there were more DNFs due to the fact that this Plain Sight cache is in a city and more apt to have more folks looking for it.

Me neither - and I'm the owner! :(

I've posted a report in the gc.com forum so we can only hope for a quick resolution.

It's very weird. I was even able to post a note to the cache page, and then delete it. And yet, I can't access the actual page.

Lee, her son, and I did a virtual cache in Washington DC... There were a few questions to answer in order to log it, we found all but one quickly, and were a couple hours looking everywhere for one answer, and were all ready to DNF it. For some reason I went back to ground zero and looked as if I had never been there - and there it was - right in front of my face.

Trev's "Freedom" Cache (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=14761) (GC39A9) by Trevelyan's R&R and Guy Nelson (http://www.geocaching.com/profile/default.asp?A=20577) (3.5/1)

There is also an Earthcache up here that was just DNF'd by someone who was going by the waypoint and thought it was a real cache.

I know someone who DNF'd an event because he showed up a week early and no one was there.

So, it is possible.

GC128 works for me now... woohoo!

538 finds, 15 DNF, 39 notes, 3 needs maintenance.

Guess that makes it #4, eh?

You're not the only one though - it happened to someone attending one of the MGA events in Biddeford as well!

This is prety cool. I wish they'd integrate them to GPX so I could automate it.
Can anybody think of any more with a high DNF count?

I personally think that 2 DNFs are high, LOL. After all, I thought the concept was to put caches out so people can "find" them.

Anyways here's a cache with 31 DNF's to date, GCPMAW (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=11fc1d9d-edfd-4347-88ed-78406737c1ae).

Is this what you're looking for???

Really? Place caches so people will find them? I thought you placed than for people to look for them.... and if they DNF, they look more and more. Maybe I misunderstood the whole concept. ;)

Anyway, that's what we're looking for.
