Sabby 06-24-2007, 08:23 AM I think it is harder to make a clue than to solve a clue. ;)
becket 06-24-2007, 01:29 PM I think it is harder to make a clue than to solve a clue. ;)
i agree! it took me forever to come up with mine. i wanted to use one of my favorite caches, but failed to realize that all those letters would make it harder!:D
Haffy 06-24-2007, 06:14 PM Did I ever say I hate puzzle caches....:D I haven't even come close to figuring out any of the caches yet. I like my photo thread better....:D
Cache Maine 06-24-2007, 06:18 PM I think it is harder to make a clue than to solve a clue. ;)

I agree too! I've come up with some interesting ones for sure...try to make it easier by putting in an interesting letter (like Q or that exclamation point, that narrowed it down quite a bit!)
Cache Maine 06-25-2007, 07:38 AM I need a hint.
Sabby 06-25-2007, 12:35 PM I need a hint.

CAMEO CANOE SHOPPING, OK?

Umm....canoe shopping? Hmmm....too funny!

These are pretty hard....who in the world thought this up anyway! :D

I think we need a cache with that exact name....it's funny!
Team2hunt 06-26-2007, 09:52 AM I thought I had it with....Anyone up for some Puck? But NO!

Thought I had found a way to expedite the process...back to the drawing board.
Sabby 06-26-2007, 05:26 PM I thought I had a way to make it easier too!

I doesn't work on this one though.

I suspect that it may be an archived cache.
Sabby 06-26-2007, 05:54 PM OK I have it.

That is I have all the letters to make a cache name but it does not have the punctuation.

Is the clue supposed to use all the letters and punctuation in the cache name (except spaces may be added or omitted)?
Sudonim 06-26-2007, 05:55 PM Nope, it's not archived, but has had a DNF this year. Two words.
Sudonim 06-26-2007, 05:57 PM I've been finding the scrambled Maine towns a lot easier than solving these! Maybe because we are more familiar with the town names, or the fact that there are less of them to choose from?
Sudonim 06-26-2007, 05:58 PM OK I have it.

That is I have all the letters to make a cache name but it does not have the punctuation.

Is the clue supposed to use all the letters and punctuation in the cache name (except spaces may be added or omitted)?
I didn't adhere to the punctuation, just the letters. I used punctuation to make the new sentence "flow" better, you can ignore the ? and '
Sabby 06-26-2007, 06:10 PM OK My program to make it easier really works!

EXCEL rocks!!

I will leave it up to a Mainer to post the answer.

Do I need to apologize again??
Sabby,
You PM'ed me Tuesday with the right answer and I clarified that the punctuation wasn't the same as the cache. You then put 'Excel rocks' and I've been trying to find a cache with that all week:eek:
When you gave the clue about distance from your house, I was using mapquest and had it narrowed down to Thomaston-Augusta area but gave up:p
Sabby 06-29-2007, 03:25 PM I guess that I do need to apologize again.

I did not intend that the PM was to be used as the answer in this thread only to confirm that it was in fact the correct answer.

Since I think I have an advantage it is only fair that I let others have a try at solving them before I post an answer.

"EXCEL rocks" was a statement that I use EXCEL to help me.

I am sorry everyone.
Sudonim 06-29-2007, 04:21 PM That's OK, trying to solve that puzzle gave me more practice, that's all :)
(And you do some really cool stuff with excel, I'm just a novice)
Sudonim 06-29-2007, 05:36 PM I think it's almost harder to make one!
