Due date was the 4th. The are hoping Mother Nature will bring her. Another appointment next Wednesday and if she doesn't present on her own it looks like the Doctor will assist with some intervention on Friday.

Everyone root for Mother Nature please!

Do the parents know already if the lil' munchkin is going to be a boy or girl?
For the fun of it I say lets do a poll and guess wether it will be a boy or girl and also the weight and the actual date.
The one who guesses the closet to all categories wins! (bragging rights only) LoL I'll start out.

* Boy or Girl: A baby girl
* Delivery Date: Sunday July 7th
* Weight: 7lbs 2oz
(and extra bragging rights if you can guess the name they have picked out)
*Name: Nicole :) ;)

You guys are too much fun - I am going to eliminate make it easy on 2 of the questions;) ......Becca and Charlie know it will be a girl (thanks to today's technology) and they have a name picked out. She will be named Amara Pauline Francis.:D

Now, I am all for guessing the date - and time even better.........and Nikki, if you are right about toda Bec would be veryyyyyy happyyyyy.:)

I have so much fun with my geocaching friends. I think it would be fun to up the anti here - and if you have already guessed you can do so again. Sooooo, Foxgloves (and it isn't midnight yet), Cache Maine and Team2Hunt may all have another turn if they would like. To keep this fair - New players - one post per cacher or if a family or tem each member may guess (yes - Cache Maine gets 2, etc.).

The one who comes closest (without going over LOL) - will be awared a new unactived geocoin of my picking (which of course will be selected especially for you) from my stash of unactivated coins.

So I can't wait to see who quesses what and put them in a grid.

Hi caching friends!!! Well nothing yet:(
Glad to see there is some fun going on with the expected arrival :)
Nothing seems to be getting her here any sooner than she pleases... we've tried probably 90 % of the suggestions people have offered to no avail. She seems to be very stubborn.... not sure where that trait came from, most likely her dad.
Good luck to everyone with there guesses!!!!
Hopefully there will be an update prior to the 13th.

I sure would love it to be tonight as the Grand-mother. Becca and I even went caching today. But, I also know Amara will come when she is ready or when the doctor is darn sure she is.

Foxgloves and everyone, thanks so much for the good wishes! I could be somewhat hopefully that she would arrive any time soon but I'm sensing complete stubborness on her part and the 13th will probably be the day only because I want her here, prior to that day, so darn bad. As mom said we managed to have one cache find today after a nice little hike, we're trying to encourage her here as soon as possible! Again thanks for everyones good wishes and thoughts.

Fifteen cachers have chosen to take a guess here. Some of the contestants the date chosen has gone by but you of course are still in on the weight contest as Amara has not yet arrived.

Since she isn't here yet I am not closing the contest. So anyone who has not yet guessed may give it their best shot.

I'm not guessing! I went over a month overdue with my first one. The due date was originally August 15th and she was born on September 28th. No one ever figured out for sure what happened. Here's the kicker... she was induced! The kid was comfy, that's for sure!

Bec asked me why I was cutting it off so any of you out there in GCM land who have not taken you guess - do so. One try per member for date/time and one try per member for weight.

Sounds like Bec wants to take entries right up to delivery so we will comply with her wishes.

There are a number of folks who are not in - Dave1976, Girlmate, Attroll, Tink, to name a few and many others. Remember there will be an unactivated geocoin awarded for the winner on day/time closest and another unactivated geocoin for the weight winner. Plus - bragging rights!

Just so you all know there is a Doctor's appointment tomorrow.

Thanks CM for posting the quick note above. And thank you to everyone on GCM for your support of Becca along the way. I know I can say for her, your support from her first day of meeting you all, to meeting her hubby "Charlie" last summer and then your most recent support during her pregnancy is something she will never forget and which is treasured.

Well - the baby is out and...........here are the stats and the winners - As Bob Barker would say - "Open the Curtain please!;)

Amara arrived today at 3:09PM. That put two folks into contention - Hiram and Haffy - upon the mathamatical computation (which I had an engineer friend assist me with) - the winner is Haffy! (Haffy, I will need your address to mail your coin - please PM me!)

Next was the weight - as I have traveled and did things with my daughter over the past couple of weeks, I knew Amara was going to be a large baby - but she tipped the scales at 9 Pounds 14 Ounces according to the hospital but Dad insists it was 14 1/2 Ounces........Regardless, this is a very large baby. And the winner is Medawisla! (Again, I will need your address to send you your coin unless you want/trust Brad to bring it to the Event.)

:D My sincere thanks to all for your support and participation. Bec had fun reading the posts the last few days and actually just called me a few minutes ago asking who won.

If you would like to send her a card - PM Cache Maine for the address - she will probably be in the hospital until Sunday at least. After the weekend, PM me for her home address.

We have a new cacher in our midst and Bec has a nice pack to use too!

I told Hiram I didn't think his transporter that he built from the left-over Jeep parts, old Guiness bottles and that 12-volt battery would work, but he insisted it would work and would revolutionize the way we geocache and make it much easier to get those 5/5 caches by instantly transporting us to the top of the mountain top . . . I should have known though . . . darn molecules scrambled up and now Hiram has turned into me. ;) :D

sheesh... Hiram, you always over exaggerate things...

I have to say that's the classic line of the day so far. :D :D :D

But hey, I've attended two events so far . . . the Tread Lightly 2006 Event: A New Beginning for Hiram's Jeep and the Winter Caming Event: AKA: Jake Makes a Quick Guest Appearance While Riding a Purple Sled He Claims Was Borrowed And Then Breaks Down 15 Minutes After Leaving Event and I will be at the Tread Lightly 2007 Event: The Orca Strikes Back. :D
