I decided to try and find some nice Fall foliage today. On my way west today, I found some in NH, above 2500'. The Kancamaugus area is at about 25%. But the area just west of Lincoln, is in full blaze. I was on route 118.

Have you found some Fall colors in your area?

Hopefully this thread will aid those interested in where and when, they can find the best colors of this beautiful Fall season.

Not in full bloom but the new Sunset cache in Western Maine had some nice color on Tuesday - I posted some views.

There's a very nice view right now from our Old Canada Road (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=91ba34cb-4c6c-4c76-afd5-5d4b4f4c0948) cache! :D

Missed so many the day I was up there. Just have to go back again. I love this part of the state!

The foliage in Vermont where I am is at about 75% right now. The drive along I-89 is really beautiful. :)

Thought this might help out too.

The FAQ section, will even tell you where to go when you are visiting Maine. And it's listed by dates.

Not much color here (central Maine yet) although there is a tree in Manchester that is beautiful.

We are looking forward to Jockey Cap in Fryeburg in a week or so and perhaps Mt. Pigsah in Winthrop in another week or so.

We just spent the weekend in Jackman and there was some nice color up that way but I still don't thi k it was full bloom. In the midcoast area the leaves are beginning to fall off the trees but they are just dull green with brown spots.

Saw amazing color along Rt. 16 in NH on the way to Western Maine. The colors on Rt. 2 west past Rt. 16 in NH were near peak.

The colors in VT are at peak in many places...I think the foliage in Bar Harbor Maine this past Weekend was much more brilliant than here...
Fall is definitely upon us...

The area around Sebago Lake is beautiful and will be in peak color this weekend.

Yeah, the colors here in Vt were a little drab this year. It's Ok since it was cloudy most of the week anyway. Had a great time just the same.;)

Well, with this wind and heavy rain that we are getting today in the Bangor area, you can pretty much kiss the foliage goodbye! Well, unless you want to see it on the ground but I think it kinda loses something once it's fallen.

Not over in my neighborhood - even with the wind and rain i spotted a couple of absolutely gorgeous trees just outside my window. Not bad for the city, eh? !!!

I confess, my thoughts were incorrect. I just returned from the North and the areas near Coburn Gore, Eustis, Jackman, Greenville were beautiful.

Our trip today, took us thru Western Maine, down route 9 to So.Berwick and into Somersworth NH. The colors were beautiful. Lots of reds and oranges today. Fall is a wonderful time of year. :) The beautiful colors and things for the most part are much quieter. We took some time today to enjoy the day. Even found a great new place on the Maine, NH border to kayak next year.

Bangor is 100% peak, in my opinion!

I'm pretty sure that this will be the last weekend to enjoy the Fall foliage in So.Maine. My trip today took me out route 25 from Standish to the NH border. Then along route 16 to Conway and home via route 302. The foliage is still peak and really beautiful, despite the miserable rainy weather today. The leaves are just now starting to fall. The weather looks good for Saturday afternoon and Sunday. And for anyone who can call in sick next Monday and Tuesday. Looks like great weather then too! :)

I am spending the weekend in my secret location. Ok..well maybe not as secretive as Dave and Connie. I awoke this morning to clear blue skies and frost on the pumpkin. The hills have now lost their leaves and color. Fall has slipped away in the past week, due to several strong wind storms. Now the mountains and valleys are awaiting the inevitable coming of the first snow. I do love Fall but the idea of Winter and all of it's outdoor fun, has it's allure. I can't wait for the first snowflakes to start falling. My mittens, boots and snowshoes stand ready in the corner.

Now all I have to do is wait..................:) :D

I am reminded of a recent ad campaign. " If you were snow, where would you want to fall? "

Amen to that . . . and incidentally while I don't normally mention these things I noticed that you folks went right by #1000 and no one noticed or made mention of this monumental milestone . . . congratulations.

Oh, Team2Hunt you're nearby! I'll have to snag you for our first cache hunt so I know what I'm doing! LOL

Leaves are falling like crazy here. Who wants to rake my lawn? I've already done it twice and it looks like it hasn't been done! The kids like playing in them though!
