I am looking for a program that will convert a format from:
Latitude 44.163437N Longitude 69.958071S to the common format that we all use in our GPS's of N44 21.04 W70 49.79.
Can anyone help me with a conversion program or some easy way to do this.

Try using your PN-20 in Device Setup Page under Units.
Try here (http://www.my3d.com/converter.php). I think this is what you are looking for....

I like FizzyCalc (Formerly GeoCalc), created by Fizzymagic. It not only does conversions, but projections, distances, and more.

To get the MM.MMM portion of DD MM.MMM just multiply the decimal part of the DD.DDDDDD by 60
ie 45.500000 equals 45 30.000
