I'm terribly embarassed ( :o ) to say that I had all but really abandoned caching. I kept mostly in touch with you all to say HI but that was about it. As the snow thaws.. so am I. So are the Geochicks!! We are planning and plotting and dragging out the old Geko GPS... dragged out the goodies from the last BBQ (yes, that long ago!) and started looking at everything once again... as I looked in the ammo box that my brother gave to me last year.

I found a few things in there:

2 Geocoins (I think one belongs to Parm)
several trinkets that are signature items
and a TB

However, the TB has nothing with it, it's simply just the tag. I looked to see what it should have looked like on the website. Usually there is a place toy, etc attached. This is just a TAG!! Is it rude to maybe attach something to it, so it isn't simply just a tag??? ;)

Check to see if the tag PREVOUSLY had an item attached to it - go to the Geocaching.com site (Track Travel Bugs) and just input the number. You'll know if it is a stray tag of you own, or if there was an item attached at one time.

We all have or probably will have times in our geocaching lives that we need to attend to issues that are more of a priority than caching. Don't feel too bad about it, just get back out there!

That's what I meant when I said I checked it out. But it didn't say... it's was a pretty bare page for a pretty bare TB! I really don't think anything was ever attached to it.

You mean to say when you input the TB numbers on GC.com nothing comes up?

I think I've heard of TB's where there is actually nothing attached. The tag IS the TB! (Sheesh! I know - why bother? LOL!)

No, that I think about it... I could just contact the owner...

It could have been put into circulation but the original owner may not have activated it before placing it in a cache. Nubees sometimes don't understand all the info to get TB's into system and how to properly log them in and out of caches. Who knows.

The tag is probably the TB then if there is an owner lisred. You can contact them to see if there ever was anything attached when they released it..

No - looking at the TB site - the attachment was obviously lost. Since Parmachenee placed it in the event cahce, there must have been something atatched to it when it arrived.

Contact the owner... :(

I have some of those categories. Two that I can think of. Snowmobiling and backpacking. They take priority. Snowmobiling for sure. LOL

Why don't you email the owner of the travel bug and ask them if it is OK and explain what happend. It looks to me as if there was button that was attached to it. There is a link to click on within that travle bug called VIEW GALLERY. I clicked on that and it shows the Freak Brothers. So I am assuming that these are the other three buttons. There must have been a fourth which would have been the one you have. That is just a guess.

I did look at that and I don't think it was a button (but who knows), I looked to see about the "brothers" all being TBs... if they did, they weren't released as it shows the owner has 4 TBs but only two were released.

But I will see what I can come up with....
