Haffy scooped the field today, and got 2 FTF's, one of which was our new cache in Solon. Check the log, and you'll see that Haffy posted some great pictures of the area.

Bottom line: many of us carry digital cameras with us, so I encourage you to take pictures and post them with your log entry. I know - I hate to do it because I'm still stuck with dial-up and the upload speeds are DISMAL - but pictures like Haffy's really add a lot to the experience. The high water he captured will only be around for a week or two, so future cachers won't appreciate what the Kennebec in like some times.

Hey thanks Bruce, glad you liked them. I love taking photos of all the cache places I visit, it gives me another record of my finds and gives others a view of them that they can relate to when they do find them. I know that a lot of folks don't have a camera but the new digital cameras are really very inexpensive nowadays and you don't have to have a very expensive one to get nice photos either. And it is so easy to download them through a card reader. And Bruce I have dial-up and don't have any speed problems downloading them as long as I keep them about 800X600 pixels small, only takes a minute or so per photo.

We also take pics of our finds, and yes our DNF's too. When people ask what is geocaching, we just show them the scrapbook we keep. (with our paper cache logs). The pics speak for themselves. Was at Quaker Ridge in Casco this week. Beautiful pics took that day.

We should refer to it as Haffy's geocaching GED. Get er done. Congrats Haffy. Now I have another excuse to pull out when I see a new cache. #23) Haffy will beat me to it. ;)
