I'm in Canton, Mass. this week for a training class. Loe and behold.... No snow! I mean hardly any. Snowbanks and a little ice. There was more snow in the bed of my pickup from Monday's storm than there is in the parking lot of my hotel. In fact, I took a little grief for it. :) I've now added Mass and R.I. to the states that I've cached in. Today it was 55 degrees, I was in Lincoln, R.I. doing way to much unnessesary bushwacking wearing no coat at all. The snow line was right about at the Mass/N.H. border. If anyone needs a spring fix, I'd drive down here. Any guesses when we will have such ice and snow free weather? My guess, April 21st. :(

Funny you should mention the snow line, we were just talking about how far we would have to travel to be free of the snow. Last year we went to Newport RI to get away from the snow and had a great time caching there.

Here is a link to a snowline map. http://www.intellicast.com/Travel/Weather/Snow/Cover.aspx

We are thinking a trip to CT soon so that we can get our first CT cache.

Here is another interesting snow link: http://www.nohrsc.noaa.gov/nsa/js_animate.html?ts=24&year=2009&month=2&day=26&type=nsm_depth&region=National
It is an animated map of the snowpack.

It looks like we have more snow coverage than any other state in the U.S. The snowmobilers must be thrilled. I suppose that the northern towns make big money off that. I tell you what though, it was nice walking on grass. Even if it was dead. I'm sticking with April 21st
