I received the following e-mail regarding my PNORYN'S cache. I am replacing the log this weekend and will keep you updated if there are further problems.

GEO] Eight Foot Llama contacting lexmano from Geocaching.com‏ From: <img id="P___1364760741" webimdisplaystyle="inline" style="display: none;"> Geocaching (noreply@geocaching.com) Sent: Thu 5/28/09 5:08 PM To: ebayfiend@hotmail.com Hi there,

I found your "PNORYN's" cache on May 22. It was a film canister under a lamppost skirt.

Inside was a 8.5x11 sheet of paper, folded up about a million times. There were no log signatures on it. On the back was a computer printed message which said:

"Congratulations, you have found a GEOCACHE!
Now, let's see if you can find a life.
You <blanking> nerd!"

So unless I am missing something, it looks like a muggle is messing with your cache.

I left everything as-is.

Take care,
Jim / 8FL

I am a little confused by the muggle's sentiments. Geocaching is not a life?!

hehe, well how sad is that, that someone has nothing to do than go around and tell people they have no life.... what kind of life is that??? I'll take geocaching over that. :D

besides, deep down they're probably just jealous of how cool we are. :D

The muggles statement leaves me alot perplexed. Who needs to find a life? I think it is hilarious that the muggle would steal the cache, go through all the effort to write and place a note in it and re hide it. Wish the muggles of my caches were as considerate. :o

Geez . . . I'm not sure what I would do if I found a life . . . I mean trading a life for a bouncy ball or carabiner doesn't seem like a very fair trade. ;):D

Like just happened to one of mine. I guess that one is going to have to go since a local muggle has nothing better to do than put bait in it, steal the log, pee in it. Talk about "get a life" LOL

I spent evenings for almost TWO WEEKS looking for a Laughing Terry cache. How in the heck did a muggle find one and find time to pee in one. I think I need to make more sacrifice to the great god of geocaching. :D:D

Still chuckling over fins2right's post.... It's at times like this that I wish I had the time to stand watch over that cache to see if the muggle returned and then beat that p--- right out of him, get fins2right to taze him, and make sure he never pees again standing up.

BUT I guess it makes the muggle a bigger blankety blank blank nerd because he or she took the time to FIND the cache AND write such a lovely "log"

I mean do they stand around and watch people and see what they are doing? What muggle would go up to a lamp post and lift the skirt and lo and behold there is a cahce? Some people honestly................

Appears yet another someone doesn't think much of our hobby. Hopefully this just a one time incident because of the high traffic area. I get the occasional DNF from people there for the right reason, so it's not as though they would have found it by mistake unless they watched someone visit the spot.:(

Got this log today on my Fake Trees Need Water Too...

This one may be gone. Found a thin piece of wood at GZ where the clue indicated the cache should be, that read something like "Geocachers get a real hobby you @&*$%!~. The piece of wood also had the geocache ID on it; GC1FJPJ.

Being a bison tube cache, its sad that they took the time to find a piece of wood big enough to leave such a log...Keep an eye on the next couple DNF's you get just incase...

I think so . . . at least I think I've got quite the catch. :) Although she tends to say I'm more of a geek.

My geocaching friend in Slovakia just told me about a new geocaching activity going on there. Somebody just took a **** to every cache in the area. First only traditional caches. After he filled all of them up, he started solving puzzle caches and multi caches too. Whole city has had to be archived.

Your friend should "set up" a cache that would cache the perpetrator. No, no, no, not a landmine or claymore but maybe a camera like one of the wildlife cameras or something. Once they have a photo they could post it and see if someone recognizes the person. THEN there could be an old fashion lynching! :)

So many one liners here...ie: Wrong type of log to leave...Log unreadable, Trackable in cache requires DNA testing....
Steal caches if you must but for God's sake don't do that ****...literally.
