I haven't gotten any notification yet. Perhaps that's just an update for the Canadian version of Windows Vista. ;);)

Starzz - for the record - I have installed Vista SP2, but don't see any difference. I've always felt that it was best to install service packs, though.

With a DSL connection, took me about 15 minutes.

Since I got my new laptop last fall which has Vista I have had no bad experiences. Whatever fears I had were soon put to rest. Vista security issues haven't been a problem at all. For me anyway. As long as it does what it's been doing I'm happy.

I'll download & install it on my next day off, which is Wednesday. :)

I heard alot of bad things about Vista before I got it, but its been working fine for me.

Just a head's up if you do decide to try out Windows 7... you can download the release candidate for Windows 7 for free to try it out. The trial will work until March of next year, at which point it will begin to shut down every 2 hours until the trial expires in June. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/download.aspx

I just installed it, but don't notice anything different.

From the time I started the download until I got it installed, it took about 45 minutes.

Most service packs don't have anything you'd notice. Mainly just technical updates and bug fixes. :D:D
