I hope to join you very soon. dubord207 06-27-2009, 08:28 PM Great caches, fantastic event every winter, actually just two for us, and a good person in all respects. (plus the placer of my first cache, A Great Place to Launch) Well done young lady, you rock! Now on to 2000!:) pm28570 06-27-2009, 09:13 PM Congratulations! Now really, which one was your favorite? Kaching Karen 06-27-2009, 10:20 PM Jon (Laroch) and I got our 100th and 1000th cache together. It was a rather comical thing since I had miscounted (as usual). I'm good at math, but the numbers game really confuses me in geocaching. I got the Lynn Plourde Cache in Winthrop as my 1000th and his 100th. I thought it was my 994th and had done a bunch of guard rail caches to get to my 1000th which I thought was a pleasant walk through a wilderness preserve. When I backtracked in the numbers I found out it was the Lynn Plourde cache. This cache was a better one! About time someone noticed! :p Heck, I'm half way across Canada now. Had fun bumping into a skunk tonight (didn't get sprayed). That was the quickest DNF I ever registered. Hopefully, my next 1000 won't take 5-6 years..... seriously. Kaching Karen 06-27-2009, 10:21 PM Congratulations! Now really, which one was your favorite? I think I can truthfully answer this one. I believe it was the Maine Delorme Challenge. There were too many adventures involved in this one including many geocaching friends. But, aren't they all good? Ekidokai 06-27-2009, 11:00 PM Congratulations. Wow that's a lot and a long time doing this. What a great adventure. Hiram357 06-28-2009, 07:21 AM congrats karen! :D tat 06-28-2009, 07:24 AM Way to go Karen! I'm glad to have been part of so many. Who ever would have thought that one crazy idea would be single cause of so much adventure! pm28570 06-28-2009, 08:22 AM What a great answer. The Delorme, the AlphaNumeric and Mainiac1957's Route 2 are fun for me as well. Currently in Key Largo, FL on business and missing caching in Maine. While my time is very limited to cache here, there are very few caches placed in the upper Keys surprisingly, but a lot of potential for them. I think I can truthfully answer this one. I believe it was the Maine Delorme Challenge. There were too many adventures involved in this one including many geocaching friends. But, aren't they all good? EMSDanel 06-28-2009, 10:43 AM Way to go Karen!! Salute...and were you wearing your prom dress for this monumental find? Of course, that might not have been "fitting"..... ;-) vicbiker 06-28-2009, 05:47 PM Karen, what can I say. Geocaching for me wouldn't have been as special as it has been without you. So many great memories...from camping at twenty below....walking in the rain...sharing tears at Relay.
