Yet another member of GeocachingMaine.org reaches that 1,000 find mark. It would appear that we have some pretty active cachers out there hitting the trails. Congratulations......!:D

"Atta boy" on 1000. I know it's not a GRC, but which one is your favorite so far?

Thank you very much one and all..... it's been a Long road. I got tired of watching all my friends and acquaintances hitting milestones w/out me. So I told the family that I was doing it with...or without them. I have some great memories w/friends and family thanks to geocaching. I've met some wonderful people and seen some incredible sights. I won't forget the face to face encounter w/a black bear last week on the day of my 1000th find. The waterfalls in NH/VT are absolutely gorgeous this summer due to the record rains. The Triple Falls cache over near Mt. Washington is awesome. I also enjoy a micro/nano in the city that has me returning time and time again, all the while telling people I don't want a spoiler. I didn't stop to take a breath...onto the next 1000. There's people to meet, sights to see, and geo-senses to develop!

Way to go, Phil!!

Since getting back into caching, after your brief hiatus, you are really going great guns.

It would seem some of your favorite caching might have been with Tracy! It certainly was very interesting from the stories I have heard!:D

Cache On, my friend.

Lex...I'm honored to have cached w/the hookers while they were still caching as a group. While it certainly was a gut busting adventure....I learned alot and passed much of it along to others I've cached w/along the way. There's nothing like sharing your style and skill sets w/someone while encouraging them to find what works for them. Having said that...there's also nothing like caching w/a group of those w/great experience. I didn't think I'd ever enjoy such an activity...and I was sooo wrong. I'd encourage Anyone to try it if given the opportunity.

What? Is that part of the premium membership?:D

lol......ummm....... I didn't even ask to go caching w/them. I logged a find on an archived cache. The C.O. wrote back and asked me if I was going to search for them even if they were archived. I told her that if she wasn't going to maintain it.... and leave it out there as geo-trash...... then Yes I was going to log a find. Next thing I know they think I'm cool and want to meet me. I had No idea what I was in for......other than reading some logs and figuring that I would be reasonably safe in their hands for a day.

You know now that you mention it, doing so does make him appear to be pretty saintly doesn't it. :D

Way to go Phil, Glad I was able to tag along for a few of those. I know I'm no hooker (not that there is anything wrong with that) but we had a gut laughing time just the same.

Look forward to seeing you on the trail.

I have a brother I've introduced to caching down your way. There are caches in your area that I still would love to do. I've been corresponding w/MTcrunch23 who would like to put on a geo-event down there. Maybe the three of us could do something and discuss a coffee break event.

Yes, I was just telling my better half that it would be nice to get something arranged at a coffee shop/ something/ down here. My weekends are not looking good for a bit, but maybe a little later on. It would probably be good to advertise it for a while anyway.

Another option might be a picnic at one of the beaches, with of course, the rain option if we did do it during a weekend day. We will have to chat about this.
