This was a fantastic day for caching. Not hot and the wind kept the bugs away.

Beautiful.

Unfortunately, it was a great day to mow my lawn, do some cache maintenance, wash and do maintenance on my very sick car, do some household repairs, shop for a new vehicle, buy some anti-ant spray for "Feel the Power".......but I did take my sweetie out for breakfast. Not one minute spent caching.

Ah - it was a fantastic day for life! Doing whatever would make a great memory. For me, it was to accompany my daughter and Grand-daughter to the Basket Makers Festival at COA in Bar Harbor, watch my Grand-daughter dance, find a cache and head home. Then with a new cache published - go and grab a FTF with my hubby and dog in the car.

Rain predicted for tomorrow but we will be celebrating a birthday - Amara turns 2!

As I mentioned an earlier post, it seems work and chores get in the way of caching. Chores around the house, finally getting lawns mowed. But, in anticipation of kayaking a little north of me, I did prepare 3 new caches for placing at spots that stand out in my memory as a child in the Millinocket area. Now to get there......

It was a fantastic day - and a cache would have been nice. I thought about all the caches in the BCF while we took my honorary niece and nephew up to the Orono Boardwalk, but if we did those we could not have fit in everything else on the schedule for the day. Maybe if it clears up we'll be able to take them to one or two today. Yesterday was also my son's 21st birthday.

I thought maybe this weather might entice someone to be FTF on my new cache, it would have been a great day to be there!

It was a very nice day here in PA. Early we went and picked two bushel of green beans and then spent the day canning them. Had a big thunder shower go through and the smell of freshly washed air was memorable!

Even managed a cache or two.

It was a fantastic day indeed! I got up at 4am (to beat the winds) and kayaked from Pine Point to East End Beach! Robt and Ethan picked me up at the end and we topped the day off with some easier caches. There's nothing like a 1/1 when you are sore all over!! :)

It was a great day for me, too! A local cacher here in Saint John, whom I've never met but is a facebook friend, called me up when she saw my status set to "wish I could go caching". We ended up going to get some caches in Rockwood Park that both of us have wanted to get off our maps, and that neither of us felt safe going for alone. I made a new friend and caching buddy for Saint John! Just what I needed. I love caching for sooo many reasons! And to top it off, it was a beautiful day, few bugs and some rugged terrain. Awesome!

It was an awesome day. We cached in Phippsburg; most were hikes, but all were worth it. The jewel of the day was http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=496919a7-bb46-43ac-bbc0-331776f978b8 More people really have to do this one, even if it does require more time and energy than we're used to. I'll go back anytime, but don't think I'd be much help in the navigation department. We didn't even come out the same way we went in.

I managed to find the time to Hike up and over the Bigelow Mountains. I spent the night at Horns Ponds on Friday night and went up and over the Bigelows Saturday. The weather cooperated with a little wind on the peaks on Saturday. Today I spent the day mowing the yard and now it is time for a nap before I head off to work later.

Didn't find any caches today put I did put four new ones out and had a wonderful time doing it. The geocaching website is very slow today so I'll write them up tomorrow. A great day to be out and about for anything including finding or placing caches!

After a nice trip to New Brunswick last week, RULost2? and I are in Ottawa, Ontario today. Only got 12 caches today, and only 2 of them were bigger than a film can. Sheesh! ;);)

But we hope to have lunch at a Lebanese restaurant tomorrow. (On our trips, caching is only part of the fun! LOL!)

I didn't find any caches today, either, other than the previously found one at Leonard's Mills (http://www.leonardsmills.com/) I checked on while up there for their Summer event. I would highly recommend to anyone who hasn't done so that they visit Leonard's Mills (http://www.leonardsmills.com/) when they are having one of their events. Watching my 4 yr old honorary nephew and his sister throw a tomahawk into a stump 20 feet away is worth 10 cache finds any day. We also had the benefit of running into a couple other Geocaching friends there as well.

It's nice to see the Sun again. On four hours sleep.... I cached Five states solo on Saturday(ME,NH,MA,CT,VT). Four more hours sleep allowed me to grab 24 caches along the Kennebunk area on Sunday. Good thing I had nothing better to do than sleep during all those rains ;)

Funny how a little bit of sun . . . well OK, an entire day rain-free full of sun . . . makes a whole lot of difference in attitudes . . . I know I was loving life this past weekend and all I did was stack wood, load up some wood I had cut and cut some brush on an ATV trail . . . all "chores" that are just made a whole lot better when you're doing them in the sunshine vs. a rain shower.

Took the kids to see Leonard's Mills on Saturday and had a good time. My 3 year old took 4 tries but he finally got it. Can't wait to go back in the fall.

We had a fantastic day too. We have a book of scenic drives in Maine (purchased before realizing that pretty much all of them are scenic, haha) and decided to follow one of the recommended routes. We drove along Route 6 from Lincoln to Vanceboro, went in to New Brunswick for a little while, re-entered ME in Calais and headed back home on Route 9. We did some easy caches along the way to clear up some DeLorme maps. The hills on Route 6 gave us some great views so it was a wonderful way to enjoy the good weather.

It was a great day for sure . We were coming back from the Atlantic Nationals in Moncton Canada, where they had a weekend of over 1800 classic and hotrods, and everyother kind of car. We came back through St. John and Calais...I now read that some of you were up there caching as well. We just did a couple on the way back through, one in Calais, and a few in Moncton. So nice to see sun this weekend.

We had an outstanding weekend as well. Not much caching--only 4--but plenty of sun and fun at the beach. It is SO good to see the sun again. Makes me feel alive again.
