I installed GSAK two days ago and today my Mapsource says it has a problem and need reinstall. so i Unintsall and reinstall twice now and it still says its FUBAR
I guess what my question is will this mapsource program being junk affect my GPS?
Should I just forget about it because I have GSAK now ??
OR do I need Garmin Mapsource?

I don't use either of this programs, but if two programs interfere with each other you may want to install them to different sandboxes.

Good idea Cano, never thought about that. Try it with just GSAK and see what happens.

There is no reason I know of that GSAK should interfere with Mapsource to the point it won't run. I'd be tempted to contact Garmin or search their suport section. Possibly the registry settings are buggy and it might have to be fully uninstalled in order to work. I know there have been some problems with Mapsource and Vista.

You probably don't NEED Mapsource (I very rarely use it), but it's a nice tool to have when you do need it, especially when loading the Garmin Maps.

Thanks
I found the problem
I uninstalled again, re installed of the Garmin site. When I ran Mapsource it prompted me to Reinstall Newengland topo. (I forgot about that one in the sandbox)
SOOOOO I reinstalled Newengland topo and BAM eveything is happy :)
