Hey Dave I wanted to be the first to say Congrats on your #500th find today. You are my mentor and thanks for introducing me to this wonderful experience. May you get 500 more but that will be getting harder now with the traveling that it entails. John :D

OK - we give the FTF to Haffy! LOL!

Congrats, Dave. We know that with you, it's about QUALITY, and not just about the numbers.

Keep on caching! :D

Thanks all, I've enjoyed therm every one of them.

As far as how many I have left... I still have 293 in Maine left to find. I had that number down to 160 at one time, but between more important issues slowing my caching down the end of last year and you people that hide 10 caches while I'm not looking, and people hiding caches that take me a few trips to find, it doesn't look like that number will be dropping too fast anymore.

Looks like I need to get busy. I'd better hide some more and slow you down a little. ;)

Congrats Dave. I'm so slow and I spend so much time looking around, that I know that 500 will be a long time for me to attain.

Congratulations to Maines premier Cacher! I just checked and lucky us, we still have 397 to find in Maine. We thought we had cleared Deer Isle today, only to come home and find becket has hid 2 more there, today. Dave, we gotta watch these people all the time.
Again congrats and thanks for letting me use your Battleship grid to teach H.S. kids how to use a GPS.

One more thing.... As punishment for your fiendish hides, you should have to take Cindy with you for the next 500.

A little late getting here but congrats. :D It's great to have you and Lee out amongst us...although WE haven't been amongst us for a while. Summer's coming, the days are getting longer, and the caches more plentiful so there is much to look forward to. Happy caching Dave. :D

You need to step up the pace, Dave. When doing some web surfing for information about the indoor cache you posted, I stumbled across this cacher who - among other milestones - was able to find 84 caches in ONE DAY!!!

(And over 2300 caches in less than 2 years! Sheesh!)

Yeah, it's amazing how many you can get when there's a cache under every park bench and street sign. While it might be fun to see how many of those you could do in a day, I am glad Maine is not like that!

Sheesh! Don't mention micro caches and get me cranked up again, please! :D

Matter of fact, while caching in New Hampshire last week, we found a micro EXACTLY like the one in Newport I hate so much, except it was at a Shaws. :p

You're right, Once you leave Maine the overall quality of caches goes way down. But what are you going to do, stop caching? When that's all there is to find. We'll try to hide some quality caches and hope the locals catch on.
