What about some unusual geocaches placement patterns?

HHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm m...
Let's bring back an old disagreement for a new group of cachers.

5 TBs sit all winter in a Cache in a town where the local cachers had already found that cache.
Spring comes and now the cache is easier to find for new comers.
When you find it, do you grab all the TBs " to get them moving again" OR do you leave a couple for the next NEW cachers that will be able to find the Springtime cache.

No question . . . space pen . . . but it has to be the silver one, not the gold one.;):D

I leave them all behind - doesn't matter what season or cache they are in! :D

Ultra fine point Sharpie

Agreed. I have a blue fine tip sharpie that I've have used for the last 2 1/2 years. They are great for signing damp logs where pencils and pens will rip right through. They might bleed a bit on damp logs but the name is readable.

Ah, so you've obviously never signed a log with a space pen then.... :p:D

Personally, I'd take the 3 TB's that had been there the longest. In our own caches, we try and make sure that TB's are removed from caches BEFORE they're dnoed in if we know that it's a cache that will not be visited all winter.

If the cache is not visited often and many of the travel bugs have a mission other than just to travel I'll take them all especially since they have been in there for several months. I'll also leave any that I have that don't have a special mission. But I will probably drop some more in when I come across them

Boxers or Briefs:eek:

I was just going to say that this thread had been hijacked because talk of what you sign the log with didn't appear to be controversial. Now, however, Mainiac1957 has mentioned something that can be controversial - especially if we let rcwhit, 79 olds, Hiram or Ekidoki in on the conversation.

Oh come on - CRP is the geocaching purist, everything has to be just right, surely your find is not valid if you don't use the right pen. there is no room for variance!

Actually, I wanted to see what it was like to say that about someone instead of it being aimed at me. :p

Regarding boxers of briefs - none of the above!

Direct quote from Gunny G's "Globe and Anchor" Sites and Forums:

"the term Jarhead originated in the Corps back in the days when mules were still used. As anyone who has ever watched an old western movie knows, mules were often referred to as Jughead. The oldtimers insisted that Marines also referred to their mules as Jughead and/or Jarhead. Over time, certain stubborn or hard to deal with Marines were also called Jarheads."
