A coworker just told me about this news story (http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/books/06/02/books.treasurehunt.ap/index.html). Apparently it's a children's book (A Treasure's Trove (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0976061805/qid=1117742902/sr=8-1/ref=pd_csp_1/002-4297196-8152802?v=glance&s=books&n=507846)) with real life hidden treasures hidden in the continental US. Sounds like it combines geocaching's thrill of the hunt with puzzle solving and a payoff worth big bucks, like $25,000+!! I'm gonna make sure my kids read the book and get right to work on the puzzles!

There are several clubs dedicated to this kind of treasure hunting. I've enclosed one link. I'm sure if you did an internet search you would find many more. http://www.treasureclub.net/

Wow! Nice prizes, which I see include a 1oz gold Krugerand, and an unsolvd puzzle with a prize of 1 million Pounds! Sheesh! I need to get started right away.
