I saw this posted somewhere, maybe facebook. IIRC It's not a cache but supposedly a place where artists can share their photos - something of that sort.

I don't think it would ever knowingly be allowed as a cache with the guidelines as they are now.

EDIT: I found a link to the story: Why Is There a USB Drive Sticking Out of This Wall? (http://gizmodo.com/5677377/theres-a-usb-stick-in-my-brick-wall)

it's a USB building. You can plug the building into you computer :)

How would you know the other side of that USB connector isn't wired into the main electrical supply? I know I am a cynic, but I would not trust plugging into something like that.

It's too bad, it is a neat idea and would be fun if there were not so many people out there that get their jollies out of ruining other people's fun.

speaking of which...
I tried logging into this(GeocachingMaine) site three times this evening and somehow ended up on a "Cache Maine" site which is not what I was looking for. Is this some sort of "hack"?

No - you must have been using dot com instead of dot org. The dot com site is owned by Cache Maine and has been for a long time. They are good Maine Cachers and some of the original members here.

there is a wireless USB kit used for development of USB devices where you need to protect your computer from your USB device in case something goes wrong. Great for situations like this.
