We have moved to Maine from the Rocky Mountains..and hope to discover the state through geocaching. We take our small children with us - and so we have some limitations...but we really enjoy the hunt.

We did come to a Maine event quite a few years ago (last summer bash) when we camped at Searsport...and hope to come to some more and get to meet people.

Although I don't live in Maine anymore,this website keeps me in touch with all those that I miss and you won't find a more friendlier bunch of people anywhere. We are super pleased to see the snow washing/melting away - and that means we can work on placing a few geocaches around us....so many places, so few caches!

We live in the Lakes area......

if your talking Belgrade lakes area your in our back yard! hehe

Don't you love how people from Maine always say 'the lake' or 'the island' when asked where they are from? Maine has over 5000 lakes and ponds and 4,613 coastal islands, yet you ask "Where do you live?" and the answer is "Live on the island, ayuh" no matter what island they live on!

HehHeh . . . I live in the farming area . . . I suppose I could say I also live in the Amish area . . . but even then there are at least two other places that I know of in Maine with an Amish presence.

I live in the sticks area. Gotta be in the sticks, can't get DSL "out heah".

I am from the suburbs myself. Get DSL and our own Hannaford!

Lakes area? Now that really narows it down with all the lakes in the state. Guess I've been gone too long to remember where that area is.
