View Full Version : Hi from G&Jcaching!
g&jcaching 04-10-2011, 05:15 PM Hi guys
We have moved to Maine from the Rocky Mountains..and hope to discover the state through geocaching. We take our small children with us - and so we have some limitations...but we really enjoy the hunt.
We did come to a Maine event quite a few years ago (last summer bash) when we camped at Searsport...and hope to come to some more and get to meet people.
:)
JustPJ66 04-10-2011, 05:33 PM Welcome to Maine. Be sure to sign up for our new to be released (tomorrow) newsletter to keep up on all the good events and goings on. Check the front page of the forum for the link to subscribe. There are so many awsome caches that will be great to do with small kids. Look forward to meeting you at an event soon.

Although I don't live in Maine anymore, this website keeps me in touch with all those that I miss and you won't find a more friendlier bunch of people anywhere. Wait til you attend your 1st event and they will show you what I mean. Welcome to the website and hope you enjoy Maine as much as I did for 54 years.
brdad 04-10-2011, 06:21 PM Welcome to Maine caching, ayuh!
Mapachi 04-10-2011, 07:37 PM Welcome! Cahe Long And Prosper!
firefighterjake 04-10-2011, 07:45 PM Welcome to the forum . . . so inquiring minds (OK, just me) want to know . . . where in Maine are you moving to . . . it's a decent sized state.
Ekidokai 04-11-2011, 10:10 AM Welcome to the greatest state in the world.
Oh yeah where are you?
hollora 04-11-2011, 04:49 PM Welcome back to Maine - hope you stay long and enjoy!
dubord207 04-11-2011, 05:50 PM Welcome to the place that people from away work their butts off every day of their lives so when they retire they can move here and live like we do every day!
g&jcaching 04-12-2011, 06:06 AM Thanks for the warm welcome!
We are super pleased to see the snow washing/melting away - and that means we can work on placing a few geocaches around us....so many places, so few caches!
We live in the Lakes area......
JustPJ66 04-12-2011, 06:17 AM if your talking Belgrade lakes area your in our back yard! hehe
brdad 04-12-2011, 06:28 AM Don't you love how people from Maine always say 'the lake' or 'the island' when asked where they are from? Maine has over 5000 lakes and ponds and 4,613 coastal islands, yet you ask "Where do you live?" and the answer is "Live on the island, ayuh" no matter what island they live on!
firefighterjake 04-12-2011, 07:11 AM HehHeh . . . I live in the farming area . . . I suppose I could say I also live in the Amish area . . . but even then there are at least two other places that I know of in Maine with an Amish presence.
JustKev 04-12-2011, 07:28 AM I live in the sticks area. Gotta be in the sticks, can't get DSL "out heah".
shuman road searchers 04-12-2011, 05:58 PM I am from the suburbs myself. Get DSL and our own Hannaford!
Haffy 04-12-2011, 08:14 PM Lakes area? Now that really narows it down with all the lakes in the state. Guess I've been gone too long to remember where that area is.
Haffy 04-12-2011, 08:17 PM IS it me or is the NEW POST block covering the next page thingy?
