Hi All,

The wife and I are heading to the Bar Harbor area this weekend for the first time, and I was wondering if anybody had some favorite or don't miss caches you felt like recommending. Thanks in advance for your input.

Cheers,

Hi guys,

The one that first comes to mind is Hunters Beach Hunt (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=5a8dd8a2-8af4-4029-8164-8aa28e0f4de3) (GCGPXG) by Parmachenee (http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?id=89978) A nice walk with rewarding views. With 25 favorite points to is credit you will see why. There are many other nice caches there as well as a few virtuals in the park. The other is the Acadia National Park EarthCache Program (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=20e76c8f-ea92-4fb7-b014-57bcb137bfca) (GC11M7T) by Forestfuzz (http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?id=596598)
Another worthwhile challenge.... Have a good time.

A little tricky with the tides and a place to park, but the Ovens is an interesting spot as well. I also love the Hunter's beach, already recommended. The one on the shore path is great, but not sure of name exactly. Have a great time. Don't miss the cache on the top of Cadillac Mountain. It is a virtual.
