To those who have asked, yes, there will be a Eustis event this year, September 24th. Same format as other years. I will get the event published two or three months before that.

Wow....the camper. Glad you're in the neighborhood, Brad. Far enough away from Dubord's "Club 152" so noise shouldn't be an issue.

Will attend. I'll probably hit the group site, as usual.

We will be near the office but close to the bathroom for our charges.....and the wifi.....if the fire is on and the lights on, come on over.

Oooo! I want to go. I might not be able to, though, as I'm going to Florida the following week.

I think we're in 60 on the water this year, but I'm not sure as I made the reservation last fall. Di wants me to bring my electric '88 this year. We'll see. Already looking forward to this event again!

Not 60 Dan, as that was last year and not a water lot. You electric '88, I presume is a keyboard. When ARE you going to share you talents with us???

As folks post here (if they post their lot numbers), I will try to update a map I have from last year. Will print one out before I leave to come up in September so folks can network.

We are taking a few extra days and will be in 61B with our trailer. We love coming up to Eustis. No more tent camping again for us for a while :)

I, too, will be going up early and either in 5 or 6 out front (can't remember which one right now). I understand the no more tent piece. Can't wait to see everyone there.

Pam and I can see why you have this event in September. Gotta have it after a frost or two slow up the blackflies up there otherwise they'd carry off dogs and small children. We were up in that neck of the woods yesterday and saw three blackflies that were the size of a horsefly. The others were all significantly bigger.

Can't wait! This has become a September tradition for me and I wouldn't miss it. Not sure what site yet, but pretty sure we'll be camping.

Can't wait for this event. Had lots of fun last year. Leaving family home again and coming with friends. One has never geocached before. Will be in site #74.

somebody mentioned a cache, that can be accessible via a chair lift in the area what cache is it? What else interesting can be done in the area besides geocaching?

That would be One for the Loafers Version 2.00 (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=da64ece9-0039-4a85-88b6-1e4a9af134c3)(Traditional)(Regular) (GCGZ6M) by Adopted By: PJPreb (http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?id=138162) (3/4.5)

I think Ben & Tina are planning on doing that, and we may as well. There is a zip line there as well.

reading the past logs suggests you have to hike 2 hours there or ...?

I think if you don't take the lift it's two hours. But I am not sure.

A group did that last year during the event, just before the lift fell and it didn't take them nearly that long.

I don't like the looks of those lifts and that just cemented my fears.

It was only a 15 minute walk from the top of the chairlift. There were several of us that made the trip up last year and it was a perfect day. We all got to add " caching by chairlift " to our mode of transportation, to a find list.

Lots of peace and quiet up there too.

I just found my ticket stub this past weekend. That was a fun adventure with the group. I can see a new group going up this year.
Maybe try and find a few here, on Facebook, or at breakfast on Saturday. And there is always Sunday too.

What a great weekend it was in Eustis. Thanks to the Kayaking Loon for hosting and the new caches. Thanks to Team Richards as well, and to everyone else that cooked, attended and kept us company during the weekend. The door prizes were super and so was the night cache and campfire, and the weather was much better than expected. Great time!!! Good to see you all.

Yes, thanks for putting this on. It was the first year we have been able to make it and glad we did. We have a great bunch of cachers in our group.

A shame that the threat of rain kept some from coming up this year. As well as a few folks with personal matters. Another banner event for the hosts. Such a huge amount of effort is put into this event. Anyone who has not made it in the past has truly missed out. Many thanks and kudos to Jean and Stan as well as the entire Richards family for the huge amount of time and money they put into this every year. I have been there for each year and hope the tradition will be able to continue. Always good food, and many nice new caches to keep us occupied too.

This year was a bit different for me since I was in my camper with Quilting Mom and Caching Mike. They had not been up to this event before, so it was nice to take them around to a few places I had been before. All in all a perfect weekend.
