View Full Version : Visiting Maine
annes2 05-29-2013, 05:49 PM HI
We are traveling from SW Minnesota and SE South Dakota to the great state of Maine! We will be staying in Wells for a week and would love some ideas for caching in the area. I did see that there is an event nearby on Saturday, June 8 that we think we may be able to attend. Please share!
Thanks!

Ekidokai 05-29-2013, 06:52 PM I see there is one in the guard rail near where you are staying.

Oh come on, you were thinking it.
JustKev 05-30-2013, 05:05 AM Mike!! Stop trying to scare away the tourists... Brad, if he was trying to scare away the tourists, he'd use his actual picture as an avatar on here. Of course, then the natives would be scared away too.
Ekidokai 05-30-2013, 11:29 AM Don't you two think you should tell these poor people were to go?
Ekidokai 05-30-2013, 11:30 AM Where where where
Mainiac1957 05-30-2013, 05:24 PM Why, why, why
Hiram357 05-30-2013, 06:58 PM Yeah, I thought all the caches stop at the MA/ME border.... :P
j/k
My personal perspective... filter out all the gaurdrails, LPs, gNg's, and parking lot caches.... and you won't be disappointed. There's lots to see and do down that way, chat up some of the people at the event, they won't steer ya wrong!

annes2 06-01-2013, 04:26 PM Yes we will be driving out. Caching all the way. "Hi My name is Annes2 and I'm a geocaching addict." (TheGeneral1004 is worse then me) :-). Again thank you so much for your ideas and humor!

RED 5 07-25-2013, 09:02 AM Hi folks! My girlfriend and I will be up from Long Island next week, staying in Surry, and we're looking for some recommendations on any "must do" caches in the area. Caches that provide a nice hike, or bring you to something/someplace interesting and worthwhile. We'll be very close to GCZX7K (http://www.geocachingmaine.org/forum/#)Surry Town Wharf, so that one's a definite. What other caches in the Surry area (or nearby) would you suggest? Thanks in advance!
