I like the idea of a Halloween event, but hope it isn't a night event as I don't go out after dark - I CAN'T SEE!!! :D :D

Um, that would be great! Now that we've got a tast of night caching--I'd love to do more--would this be an overnight event?

I would be interested depending on how far away it is. I will be working that weekend but should be able to get out of Portland by 4 pm.

Yes Bruce this would be an overnight event. But you are not required to spend the night. You can leave when ever you want. You don't have to stay for the night caches, it is your choice. If you can not see at night then you can stay at the house and watch the kids while us adults do the adult night cache.

Glad to here that you would come zerostar7. Now we just need to get your other two Hick friends and possibly more to come down this way for the weekend.

The Team will be there once I check my schedule. They don't call me darkofnight for nothing. My navigator will come too. Bobbing for apples, and pumpkin carving. Any one got a Punkin Chucker? Sounds like fun, again. :p :p

I have a show in Wiscassett that Saturday so not likely I would be able to make it for the afternoon. Possibly can make it to say hello later in the evening, but can't say for sure at this point. Bummer!!!!

Do you have a rain date Rick? :p How 'bout a snow date? :D
I'm leaning towards yes, we'll see as we get closer as we'd be camping....

Rick,

Looks like the majority wants to... if we plan on going or not!

I would like to go, just can't give a definite answer at this time. Looks like the poll is all about going... say can we have a answer: I wouldn't want to be seen again with those rednecks? :D

We'd be interested. I won't be camping out though (still the gear issue). But I love cachin at night so we'd stick around for that.

Hi Rick,

We will make every effort to make the event if you have it and will probably not camp-out as we live only 35-40 minutes from you and its hard to find someone to watch the 2 monsters in the cute kid costumes.

Looking forward to it and hopefully can get some folks to visit our Night cache; Osgood Hallowed Night Cache (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=dcf0fc87-1f47-46e2-a7c9-4325f04b392c).

Happy Caching!!!

The event is getting closer to getting posted. I am also even working on an individual web page for it besides the GC listing.

Team2hunt

That was a good idea. I added bobbing for apples to the list of events.

Please if anyone has any ideas at all let me know. We want to make this a good event.

I am hoping to do your night cache real soon. Possibly next Sunday if I get home from my vacation in time. I need to do it to get soome ideas. I would appreciate any help or ideas you can give me on this too.

I was on the Maritime Geocaching site and they give out annual awards for the caches and the people. We could come up with some Hallowe'en based awards such as "Best Night Time" cache, "best caching costume" (worn during the regular season - would have to go through pictures for that one!), etc. We'd have to have a couple of nominations and categories before the event and let one person, who is good at keeping secrets, do the voting.

At this point, I don't know if I can make it or not.

That is a nice idea. But we are limited to prizes right now. I am getting ready to start calling Garmin and Magellen and others soon to see what I can come up with. But other then that any prizes given out will come out of my pocket. So right now I will have to stick to the basics.

Best event costume and I will come up with some more depending on the funds. But I like those ideas.
