I was reading the software support forums for the software that we are running here on Geocaching Maine earlier tonight and they were talking about something called Skype (http://skype.com) and it going to be incorperated into the forum software sometime in the future.

Well to make a long story short. I downloaded this software and was checking it out. I am very impressed with it so far. Tink and I tried it out on our computers and had a very good conversation with each other. It was very crystal clear unlike other voice chats I have tried. We are on DSL so I don't know how it is on dialup. But then dialup is not really good for anything that is to high tec.

Just thought I would pass this on to everyone.

We use Skype all the time for voice calls and text chats with my sister in Paris. She also uses it for phone calls to the US and pays ridiculously low rates. The voice quality is indeed excellent. There is also a video addon for it called vSkype but I have not had a chance to try it yet.
