My navigator has been playing with his coin all day. The Team is making plans to distribute those beautiful coins to our caches. Thanks Andy. And all of you who helped along the way. You are no longer up to your neck..................... Thanks and Happy Holidays. :)

thanks for all the work and thanks for sending my coins with Tom. I was not sure if he was going to be going and I knew I would not make it up so I ordered them mailed. I was going to call TAT and let him know to save y'all the postage but never got the chance.

and hey, the Coins look Great, I am now trying to figure out where the first one is going.

I got my coins yesterday and I can't wait to give them to my members of my family that cache. They are very nice. Thanks Andy!:)

I agree, thanks! I forgot I didn't make a order, nice huh? But, I bought one off Mike so I left with a coin to. Excellent job!

I appreciate all the kind words (and the fact that it's almost over, just a million coins left to ship!)
I had many people helping to make me look good:p (You didn't think I could pull that off myself did you?)
Thanks Cameooooo for getting the ball rolling, doing all the research and getting the spreadsheets off the ground, as well as helping at the end when I REALLY needed it!
Thanks Rick for all the late hours on the phone getting the web page working "just right"
Thanks Tom for all the suggestions and mediation.
Thanks Cliff for the awesome picture (one of many you have taken)
Thanks Kim for all the help sorting mailing labels and envelopes (and encouragement too:D )
Thanks to Haffy, Mainiac, BC and all the others with suggestions, pointers and corrections. I couldn't have gotten to this point without all of you. what's the picture for the 2006 coin?

Andy et al,

I, too, want to thank you for creating such a beautiful coin. I've already arranged a couple of nice trades and these will be sent to far-flung places around the US.

On the way home with Team2Hunt, I wondered aloud how long it would take before a Maine coin showed up on eBay. Well, I already have that answer... 3 1/2 days - and listed at 17.50. That there's a valuable piece of metal!

Yep I couldn'd believe it either until I did an Ebay search and sure enough here it is. I wonder who the Man up North is anyway? ameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

It's up to $19.50. I think we charged WAY to little!
I think it's one of the Canadians. I sent the international ones in the first batch. So, $19.50 Canadian is like $90 right???

I just wanted to post a quick note to Sudonim and all those who were involved with creating the very first Maine geocoin. They look incredible. Some very lucky people will be receiving them in their stockings this Christmas but I doubt any of them are as excited about them as I am.

I was very excited to get coin #0005 as well, it will find a very nice place in my small collection of coins.

I can't believe that it is already on eBay, too funny. What are the guesses for what it'll go for. If it is $19.50 with over 5 days to go, it should go for a lot more. Crazyness.

Thanks again,
Team Afrofish

Ha ha, he's charging $5.50 S&H to cover the cost of the "protective 2x2 plastic cover" (that they all came with for free). ameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I met with Andy today and picked up our coins, and want to add my thanks for a job "WELL DONE".

I also want to thank Andy for the IMMENSE job of distributing all those coins. I saw the back of his car filled with mailing envelopes ready for the post office. As some buyers wanted over 100 coins, that was quite a job.

Thanks, Andy! :D :D :D

Whooeee!!!! Our coins came in the mail today. Our name was drawn for coin #2 and it is some beautiful piece of work. Thanks and kudos to everyone who had a hand in these coins. I'd like to think they will circulate widely but I know #2 is probably not going anywhere but staying with us. Another one will be placed in a VA cache soon.

Received my coins in the mail yesterday and while I did not fare to well in the number department they are a really nice coin. Thanks for all the effort put into making them a reality.

I received numbers 49, 76, 91, 185, 296, 495, 622, 943, 1086 & 1577. If anyone is looking for any of these numbers let me know and we can work an even trade.

I just got my coins today and all I can say is WOW! They are nicer than I had imagined and I was quite happy with my imagination. Lets just say I am overwhelmed at the quality. What a statement you Maine Geocachers are making! Both in the quality of your caches and your coin. Keep up the great work - I'll be back next summer for some more great caching!

Just an update: the first coin listed on eBay (as discussed earlier in this thread) closed at $30. Several others have been listed by those "from away" as well including a Buy It Now for $25.99. Now aren't you glad you got yours already? ;)

I think his feedback rating will go down if he sells many of them! LOL!

If I had known there was a trackable coin in there, I would have kept it for the event drawing!
I'll contact him tonight and let him know that he might want to change his ad copy a little bit...

I was up to Oakland visiting family for Christmas and made a trip to Brewer to visit Andy and pick up my coins on Dec. 26. They are terrific. Thank you all for the fine job you did on the design and distribution.
