My wife and 2 children will be staying with 3 other families in 2 houses in Winter Harbor the second week in August. I have checked the Geocaching site and there are many caches in that area. If anyone has any favorites, we are fairly new to caching. Wouldn't mind a good hike, but also some short ones to keep the kids entertained. Also let me know if there are any "Must See's" in the area. TIA!

My favorite cache in Maine is The Path Less Traveled, and a close second is Hunters Beach Hunt. The Elliot Mountain Cache is a good one as well. All are on Mount Desert Island. There are a number of other good ones on the island, but those are by far my favorite. A good virtual is Scenic Sorrento.
