I found this out in the Geocaching Forum under New England and the thread was "Cache Adoption". I did not know if any "Northern" cachers would be interested.
See below, the cacher is seastrike and here is the URL to his profile;
http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?id=309195
Here is his note;
Last August I placed 2 caches in Northern Maine.
Since I live 300 miles away, I was later told I can't list the caches for all to enjoy, because I am apparently out of the 50 miles from location zone and unable to routinely check on the caches.( I only go up 4x per year )
Anyone interested in taking over these caches as your own
They are already planted and I have the coordinates for you to verify ?
email me for the specifics.
Id like to get these adopted for all the caching community to enjoy.
1 is at Baxter State Park, Millinocket ME & the other is outside of Dexter ME
Id appreciate anyone in N ME looking to take over 1 or 2 of these caches.
They are traditional caches in Tupperware containers.
Pls let me know if anyone is interested or if there is another way to get them listed.
THANKS !!
