What is ahead for 2006?
Is there any interest in a winter camping event, maybe somewhere in western Maine?

WhereRWe? and RULOST2? plan on hosting the 2d Annual Winslow Winter Weekend Waypoint Warrior Wingding (WWWWWW II) in lat February but that's central Maine. :D :D We'd also be interested in a winter camping event (as long as there is a nearby motel with internet access...)  Trezurs*-R-*Fun 01-06-2006, 10:10 PM What is ahead for 2006? Is there any interest in a winter camping event, maybe somewhere in western Maine? Brrrrr!!! Unless you consider a beach in the caribbean as an alternate winter site we would mostly likely find a hotel if we had to stay the night but we would attend even if we had to commute just for the day and evening hours. Besides being freakin' cold out, we are not geared to camp out in wintery weather.:o J_Cyr 01-06-2006, 10:46 PM Brrrrr!!! Woops, Make that four I forgot my wife. So we would not have a very good turn out with only four people. So we would not have a very good turn out with only four people. You could do an event that is ALSO accessible by non-snowmobilers... Even set up a snowmobiler-only multi-cache. :D :D tat 01-07-2006, 08:47 AM Now about one that could be accessable by snowshoe, ski or snowmobile? I was thinking of Web Lake campground at Mt. Blue State Park. But, Aroostook State Park, for example, may be a bit more practical for access. 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Meet at camp site 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Three multis (one long, one short, one just for kids) 4:00 to 6:00 pm Pot luck 6:00 to ? Bonfire ? Night cache Does anyone know of a place where we can do all this? attroll 01-07-2006, 02:04 PM Now about one that could be accessable by snowshoe, ski or snowmobile? We could do this at my house if someone else wants to set it up. tat 01-07-2006, 05:14 PM We could do this at my house if someone else wants to set it up. Thanks for the offer! It certainly would be safe and easy. People who wanted to simply drive up and not camp would not be left out. But, how''s the skiing? :) Personaly, I'd rather go out in the woods somewhere rather than a backyard camp. But, your backyard does have a nice view. The most important thing is accessability by snowsled, skis or snowshoes. noreasta 01-08-2006, 01:01 AM Well, wouldnt it be nice if we all went to a ski lodge...or ice fishing camps somewhere, Well i guess then, we would be getting away from the inexpensive trip and costs would add up . just a thought... Weekends are running out soon for winter events.. although we still have a long time before the end of March, and we all know March can be snowy, nasty, rainy, windy and all the rest.. I will keep a eye on any developing camping trips.. Besides the mountain (hill) which offers night skiing, there is also nearby Lake George and plenty of snowmobile trails and also lodging in either Canaan or Skowhegan. It is centrally located as well. Just throwing some ideas around, comments welcome. :D Plenty of area caches to be had also. :D :p :D Mainiac1957 01-08-2006, 12:03 PM Just curious (Location: Knox, between Belfast and Feedom) Where is Feedom? Sorry I'm just picking on you;) WhereRWe? 01-08-2006, 05:10 PM Just curious (Location: Knox, between Belfast and Feedom) Where is Feedom?
