(This may also be used as a dessert!)

1 can (20oz) unsweetened, undrained crushed pineapple
    3 tbls sugar
1 pkg (6 oz) orange flavored gelatin
    2 cups buttermilk
1 carton (8 oz) Cool Whip, thawed
    1 cup chopped walnuts.

In a saucepan combine pineapple and sugar, bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. When mixture boils, immediately add gelatin and stir until dissolved. Remove from the heat and cool slightly.

Stir in buttermilk and chill until partially set. Fold in whipped topping and nuts. If necessary, chill until mixture mounds slightly. Pour into a lightly oiled 8- cup mold. Chill overnight.

It's pretty hard to un-archive a cache now without owner approval, but it'd probably be easy enough for someone to hide a new cache there using the abandoned

If it is there in good condition perhaps it can be un-archived even though the cache owner does not seem to be active.

There is a note in the logs from the hider saying he was intending to change to an ammo can.

The photo does not seem to match the cache description and logs though. Could it possibly be something else?
