Dang nabit! I missed it again.
It's chat night again. Tonight's topics include the continuing discussion on whether milk drinkers are better cachers and upcoming events.
Better get cooking dinner then.............
When I was on vacation - where being in a different time zone meant that I would still be awake at "chat time" - I tried to get into chat using the PIRCH IRC client, which is the one I have the most experience with. I couldn't log on.
Anyone else out there using PIRCH a an IRC client?:confused:
I'm usually logged in whether I am here or not, and many times a few people come in early. As for PIRCH, I think I used it once. as long as you have the server (slashnet.org) and channel (#geocachingmaine) correct, you should get in. Web chat, however, is not so predictable!
Just tried chat this week and it still won't let me in. Comes up a green screen and says vbulletin copyright blah blah, page generated in 0.04122 seconds with 5 queries. Must be because I'm a "southern" cacher.
Oh now, come on. As I said, the web chat is tough, and there are two links on the main page for it, I have better luck with one than the other. Better yet, install one of the IRC clients (Instructions ion the Articles area). Once you get one of those running, it should never bother.
I just reformatted my hard drive for the 5th time in the last couple of days. I found that if you try different browsers you can get into different things. I like internet explorer 8 because I can use the Ispell on this.
