Missed it again.
Hurry Mike, maybe you can make it before everyone leaves this week!
Not sure if I will be around, but come see who might be...
Looks like it's that time again. We had a decent crowd Monday after it got started. What shall we discus tonight?
chat wouldn't open up for me tonight
I use the link. It is a little fluky at times but works. I can't get into it from the netbook. I have tried installing all those things suggested and nothing will let me in. I just get a blank green screen.
It seems to be way more complicated than it should be.
Whats tonights topic brdad
"online Etiquette"
or
"geocaching guidlines, rules, and courtesy"
or maybe
"Fist to Find, Last to Log
Thanks for reminding me! LOL
Dang nabit! I missed it again.
It's chat night again. Tonight's topics include the continuing discussion on whether milk drinkers are better cachers and upcoming events.
Better get cooking dinner then.............
When I was on vacation - where being in a different time zone meant that I would still be awake at "chat time" - I tried to get into chat using the PIRCH IRC client, which is the one I have the most experience with. I couldn't log on.
Anyone else out there using PIRCH a an IRC client?:confused:
I'm usually logged in whether I am here or not, and many times a few people come in early. As for PIRCH, I think I used it once. as long as you have the server (slashnet.org) and channel (#geocachingmaine) correct, you should get in. Web chat, however, is not so predictable!
Just tried chat this week and it still won't let me in. Comes up a green screen and says vbulletin copyright blah blah, page generated in 0.04122 seconds with 5 queries. Must be because I'm a "southern" cacher.
Oh now, come on. As I said, the web chat is tough, and there are two links on the main page for it, I have better luck with one than the other. Better yet, install one of the IRC clients (Instructions ion the Articles area). Once you get one of those running, it should never bother.
I just reformatted my hard drive for the 5th time in the last couple of days. I found that if you try different browsers you can get into different things. I like internet explorer 8 because I can use the Ispell on this.

He's studying for his blood test ;)
Hey, it's chat night!
WAKE UP MIKE!
What??????
It's chat night. I'm working on my maps, but I can hear you if you just speak up. No time to think up a witty topic, make up your own!
Topics include the new guidelines to allow nanos to be placed as close as 25 feet apart instead of .1 mile!
Stick it in your ear.
I'll be there.
Or I mean I'll was there.
Or whatever.
I HATE NANOS!
I should be there despite it being my anniversary. Tonight's topics include whether it's safe to wear you hunter orange while caching in the Home Depot parking lot and any other hot topics.
I'm working on a cartridge so someone might need to poke me.
My Java problem wont' let me enter the site again...darn. I wanted to know about the hunter orange decision.
Try going to www.mirc.co.uk/get.html and download mIRC. The PM me and I'll help you set it up to connect to the IRC server and join the geocaching channels.
"Then PM me"
Open mike night - say whatever you want to say. Well, as long as it's within the unwritten rules of #geocachingmaine! ;)
