Blogs

Currently, when someone posts a new blog entry, no one is ever notified that it exists. You only find out that a new blog entry exists if you navigate to the blog tab. Can something be done to change this? I'm not sure what the best way to go about would be. Maybe just advertising the Blogs section more? Or implementing the same thing that happens with the official articles (along I'm not a much fan of how the article system works either).

This seems to be a deficiency in the current software, but I did find a widget which will display blogs posted on the last X number of days, which IIRC I set to 90. It's currently way down on the lower left of the front page.
