Yes I can delete this. This is a good example as to why I would recommend that our next Maine coin be trackable on GC.com.Quote:

Am not familiar with some of this discussion but do think the next coin should be trackable on Geocaching.com. Just my opinion of course - a unique icon would be nice but we all know adds to the cost.
The Advisory Board has been discussing this, and I think it is the way we'd like to go, but I believe we're going to submit it to a general vote.Quote:

Making the Geocoin trackable on GC.com is also the way Geocky went with their coins this year. My limited little tracking application is useful, to an extent, but certainly not able to compete with Geocaching.com's capabilities. ;)
Just consider the cost, as well as the benefits. Geocky's coin went up in costs this year, and they had to buy 1,000 of them to get their own prefix and icon for tracking, so they had to charge more than previous years. The coin was issued early in 2006, and I don't think they've broken even yet.
