I am trying to find MapSource City Select North America v6, but it seems to be unavailable. I can't get v7, because its DVD, and I don't have a DVD player on my computer. Does anyone know where I could purchase v6? Thanks!

A quick Froogle shows many online retailers still selling v6.

There are a pile of them for sale on eBay with a search for "Garmin MetroGuide v6".
Just make sure if you do buy it on Ebay or any other auction dealer that you also get the unlock code for it as well.;)

You may even find it cheaper here. :D
From what I find on Ebay the software is more expensive than the site I just sent you. Do some comparative shopping and if purchasing on Ebay make certain to check out the sellers S&H. gpsnow.com has cheaper prices. ;)
I like GPSNow.com - I've bought from them a couple of times.Quote:

Also, if you buy City Select, you'll probably be eligible for a free upgrade to v7. I was, but I'm not really sure why. I ordered the upgrade CD from Garmin (free), and the upgrade from v6 to v7 was free - did not require an unlock code.
Although the v7 is on DVD, you can load it from a friend's computer.
:D :D
I agree. Garmin software allows you 2 unlock codes. Many of the eBay offerings only have 1 unlock code, which is why it's cheap. But as Haffy says, MAKE SURE the offering states that the unlock code is included. Sometimes they'll offer you an upgrade CD (which is free from Garmin), and state in the fine print that the unlock code is not included - you have to buy it.Quote:

Anybody who purchased City Select v6 after June 1, 2005 can recieve a free upgrade to v7. I just ordered mine. See the link below:
