So who will be the 1st to fill their passport?
Just point them to the Georgia State park systems and you can see how they have opened caching up to all of their parks and historic sites. They even have series for both where you can earn geocoins...
So you are in mourning for finding caches in the morning? :(
Glad to see someone is keeping this going. I did the same thing here in Georgia on the GGA website and it's kind of lost interest as well lately.
Just because you quit smoking,so you say, doesn't mean you can post such nonsense.
202, from 12/10/2006 to 06/29/2007 Working on a better one now though. :(
So when will the Maine contingent be working with the state to start their own geotour? There are numerous states who have them, will Maine be next?

No loss!!! ;)
Maybe it's just that time of the year when nobody gets out much and just not much to talk about? I miss all my Maine geocaching friends.
This year here in Georgia a new location for 2013 MEGA event has been selected. Check it out here: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=4095e60e-1525-4ae0-820e-cfd0e1b35942
Sorry to see it go as well. I know it took me a few times to find it. I was wondering with all the numerous fund raising efforts they had in the past to renovate and restore it, where did all those...
Both of those links appear to be broken.
Looking at the coords that Tom posted it looks like a fish hatchery.
Cool, I didn't know there was a 2nd page of events listed. Thanks
Just thought I would send out an invitation to all my Maine friends to attend the Georgia Mega event in November. I attended the 1st 2 annual events and we went Mega on the 2nd annual try. It is an...
I doubt that any of you will be attending the Mega Event here in Georgia in November but thought I would post it here just in case that you would like to come down before the winter finds you...

Links seem to be broken, might want to try this one. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=c426da35-8e6b-430f-804a-e96b8c5dd94f
I don't disagree with you Kev but you have to start somewhere. How about starting with the state park system and setting something up with them? There are many states now who have been working...
As with the placing of any caches, I think it is a wise idea if at all possible to get permission first. I don't think that there is a policy regarding placing caches on any DIF lands and the caches...
Any chance that there could be a power point presentation made of the GSAK tutorial at this event? Sure would like to know better how to use GSAK in the many things it has to offer.

Funny you posted that,I just watched the video from a post by GC.Com in FB. It's hilarious. I wouldn't spend 49 bux for it though through their store.
I would suggest contacting a local cacher in the area and ask if they could help you out in the event the cache needed any type of maintenance if you couldn't do it for a while. It happens all the...
To get back on topic I figured i would post a link to the Georgia state parks caching site.......................http://www.gastateparks.org/Geocaching
