Default More good PR for geocaching

Just visted the GC forums and in the NE section I came across this recent thread, to which Team Teebow made a response. I in turn contacted the thread poster and informed her of this website where she might be able to get some more assistance in the areas where they were planning on putting the Maine caches.

It surely is a good thing that geocaching is getting some much needed POSITIVE responses to our activity. Hopefully this will only be the tip of the iceberg and more landowners will be more active in letting geocachers place caches.

Default Haffy6 you are on your way to becoming a professional PR man!

Thanks for your reply to the GC Forum thread, I think (If the rest of Team Teebow is willing) we may pick up ownership of the two caches in Wiscasset. My grandmother lives just around the corner and we are down there weekly. Hey maybe I could get her to pick up ownership!!!

Anyway I'll be in contact with Roxie very soon.

2 caches in Wiscassett? I saw only 1 and 1 in Freeport.

We have sent an email to Roxie requesting to be the caretakers of the caches in Wiscasset. I'm thinking the letterbox may be a Hybrid? I'm guessing....

Here is the link to the NEFF New England Forestry Foundation website:
    http://www.newenglandforestry.org/

And also a link to the community forests of Maine:

Hopefully Rocky Raccoon aka Roxie, our new member, will be able to stop in and enlighten us more about the foundation and how we can make geocaching better for all. Seems like there a quite a few of these land parcels in the state and maybe one of them is near you. Do I see a few new caches coming up?

And I have also been in contact with the Kennebec Land trust, I emailed them about putting caches on some of their trusts, they're having a board meeting tonight, and they will be emailing me with results tomorrow.
