Saw a couple of the new "X" model Garmin's at the event, Gob-ler and someone else had one but didn't get to see them in action but from what I heard of them the new Sirf111 chip is just great, plus the added ability to store all kinds of maps on the transflash card is another plus.

That actually elicited a chuckle from me.

    Default Map Source Topo?

    Hi everyone
Just reading replys to this post. Noticed a few of you use MapSource Topo. I just recently purchaced this product, and was wondering if lack of secondary road names was common? Call road in Milford is just called "Road" same for the stud mill road. Is this normal or am I missing somthing in the program?

This is going to be fun for this group alone.

    When are the events?

Who locally sells mapsource products? City Navigator looks pretty good.

    Thanks for all the welcomes.

Yes it is very common in TOPO. You will get a more diverse listing of names of roads and streets and such with City Select or Navigator.

All the events we have will all be posted on the Maine cache page when they get near. As far as maps go, for myself I have had good luck on EBAY. And welcome to the addiction.

We are having a pig roast event on 17 June this year. So keep an eye out for that.

Speaking of that does anyone know how to get a hold of GPSFUN? I need him to release this event. I told him to not release it until I was done with the details. Now I am done and the email address I have for him keeps bouncing back to me.

Just post a reviewer note on your cache page. He'll get it.
