They are definately having some really bad servor problems. I think they have just gotten too big too fast and can't keep up with it all. They keep adding new features for premium members but in my opinion they can keep the extra features for a while and try to upgrade the servors so everyone can log when they want. And it's not just the weekends anymore that you get servor busy errors all the time.

I can not even imagine what they go through with there servers. I have a hard enough time with two sites and about 9,000 users. I can not imagine the total number they have for users.

As of today, there are 250412 active caches in 221 countries.Originally Posted by attroll

Interestingly, there are 191 member countries in the UN, and the US State Department recognizes 192 different countries.Originally Posted by brdad
Lets assume that there are AT LEAST a couple of countries that do not have caches in them. Who was included and who was left out? LOL!
Hey, I just cut and paste from gc.com...Originally Posted by WhereRWe?
Actually your post sparked some interest in me, so I looked it up. Not sure where you got your information, but I read an interesting short article on About.com . Pretty interesting. I was surprised Greenland was not a country and investigated that further and discovered that it was colonozed by Denmark and is still partially govenred by the Danish.
I am guessing gc.com recognizes nearly any seperate area as a country.
My dream for logging cache finds:
I use my pocketpc with my BT GPS, so when I'm at a cache site, I log notes right into the software program, Beeline. Problem is when I come back home I have to write my notes again onto gp.com. My dream is to have the information zip from my pocketpc to the gp.com website via activesync or avantgo or something like that. . . I will not hold my breath.
I'm not positive but I think if you export your notes to GSAk you can then export them to GC.com from there.

Check out a Pocket PC program called GPX Sonar. It's what we use for paperless caching. We write most of our logs in GPX Sonar while we are out on the trail and then once we get home we export the report for the caches we have found. From there we just sync the Pocket PC and with the help of GSAK it is a simple cut and paste to log all of our finds. Usually it only takes a few of minutes to log a large number of finds.Originally Posted by jeepingirl2
