There is a way to have another section of the forums that you have to subscribe to to have access to. We could set it up so that the jokes and non geocaching subjects are posted in that section. This way only the users that subscribe to that section can see them.

We can also assign someone in charge of this group and have it so that a user has to request to join this group and the person can except or deny the requester.

This really needs to be discussed more I think. Maybe we need to set up a geocaching event and we can discuss where we wan this web site to go.

My thought would be that we should keep the rating G on the site or atleast putthe non g rated jokes in an area that requires autherazion to get into.

    Default Family Jokes

Being a newbie and all, I guess I never thought about children watching this site. If My children were still young and were involved in this hobby with us , I would not want to have to ban them from this site because of adult topics or jokes, I would want them to enjoy the site as well as the hunt. I suppose that from now on I will be watching what I post, and if I really have the need to tell someone a good adult joke I can send it to them in a P.M. Thats My story and I'm stickin to it

Now that my son is 15 and surfing like there is no tomorrow I wonder about some things, Like my opinion of others. I think cacheing is a family sport and we should keep it that way for the "kids who lead us here and there". He will always find it first, must be in the genes, my dad would have loved this sport/activity/hide and seek.

I like the site the way it is. I don't always read every post, but everyone should be able to say what they would like to. I have not seen anything that is unaceptable for most of us. my son is a teenager and most likely nothing posted here will be a shock to him - if my kid was younger it might be different. so with that in mind keeping the "adult humor" within reason is a good idea.
