    Default GeoWoodstock IX

Another thread is discussing GeoWoodstock IX in Pennsylvania. RULost2? and I hope to be able to go.

But beer drinkers need to know of the strange alcohol laws in Pennsylvania. Very few grocery stores sell beer - I recall that the Wegmans chain has been allowed to sell beer at a few of their stores. But most beer is sold through distributors (they all have retail sales). One great thing I've noticed about the beer distributors though, is that they have a HUGE selection.

    Be prepared!

Once the game is over, the king and the pawn go back in the same box.

He got "a" microbrew beer? Not 6? Not a bomber? Not a growler?

Default Press Release from Sam Adams Brewing...

    Introducing Samuel Adams "Wee Heavy".

We are proud to welcome the newest addition to our Samuel Adams Imperial Series, the intense and smoky Wee Heavy, available beginning in late February. This dark and slightly sweet Scotch Ale uses malt which is smoked over peat, giving the beer an earthy and smoky character with layers of deep complexity. Enjoy this warming beer on its own, or pair it with dishes like carnitas or pork belly, where the smokiness of the Wee Heavy will nicely play up the roasted flavors of the pork.

(I don't usually drink very dark beers, but this sounds GOOD! )
