Default Just a thread to ponder

I'm not sure how many of you read the Groundspeak forums regularly but I came across this interesting thread and thought maybe some of you in here would be interested in reading it as well. I'm not taking sides I just wanted to show how others feel about this very subject.

Maybe Brdad can add some of his recent statistics as I know he just loves working with numbers.

Just smile it won't crack your face

The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four persons is
suffering from some sort of mental illness. Think of your three best
friends -- if they're okay, then it's you.

Sheesh! We never saw a cache we wouldn't log! LOL!

It sounds like Geocaching is alive, vibrant and growing!

Thanks to everyone, from the "cruising 'round with top down" hiders to the "hiked where few have gone before" hiders and everyone in between.

    Thanks for ALL those caches.

Whan I started caching, I think there was 2 other micros in Maine. There may have been one in Portland, too... I forget. Anyway, one was in Rockland and missing and the other was in Bangor under a RR bridge. That one kept turning up missing and was archived before I hunted it. When I hid Old470 it was the only one available. Of course, all of this has little to do with this thread, it's just a trip down memory lane.

It may be wishfull thinking, but I don't think many caches have been placed in Maine solely for the purpose of finding them, if anything they were placed for the sake of hiding them. Not that I agree with that practice, either.

For the record, I don't dislike micros. I prefer regular caches, but if I have to choose between a lamer regular cache or a micro with a reason, I'll choose the micro.
