    Default Summer Solstice

Happy Summer Solstice . . . the longest day of the year.

When I was in Alaska a couple of years ago I learned that they really live it up on this day as they have nearly 24 hours of sunlight and I have to say I loved it in June (visiting in mid-September was a bit cool though and there was less light) . . . of course they pay for this sunlight in middle of winter with a little less than 8 hours of "sunlight."

In any case, I "celebrated" today by doing a few great caches . . . so go out and enjoy this great weather and "long" day!

I was under the impression that all the days of the year were 24 hours That is of course with the exception of the day in the fall when we set the clocks ahead.
    Happy Trails!

I suppose you are correct . . . perhaps I should have said the day with the longest amount of daylight.

The pool guy should be coming today or tomorrow to install our new pool so let the heat wave continue!

I don't know about "downhill" . . . I look forward to the winter -- after all it means snowmobiling, beautiful winterscapes and no bugs.

Incidentally, it sounds like things should be busy around your neck of the woods this weekend with a huge ATV rally/ride.

Sure, sure . . . and I would still be unable to find them and they would get sucked up through the filter and the next thing I would know I would have a whole bunch of magnetic key holders and match containers blocking my filter.
