Hey Lefty, we're all noobs at one time or another.
Happy Trails!
Hi There- I was wondering about the Cache Events. We have a multi-age family (5 years old to 15) are families welcome and if so are there children of all ages?
All ages are welcome! I wish we had more kids come. Actually, I wish I could get mine to come more often!
Dave,
Now... come on, Really. Do you want to encourage peoples children to be infulenced by this crowd?
brdad - how many kids DO you have? LOL

All the cache events that I have attended so for here in Maine welcome children. I know the next two events coming up welcome children also. The Kayak Event cache that I am hosting may not me orientated towards children because it is intended for kayakers. But there is a group that is still coming to the event to camp and do the caches in there cars. There is a playground at the campsite. So there should be things for the kids to do. They are more then welcome to come.Originally Posted by covefarm

I've seen the last couple of posts and fully agree with them - kids are always welcome. BUT... We have had a couple of "beer and wings" events - not sure how appropriate they would be since they're held in a tavern - or if kids (other than VERY young ones) be allowed entry by the establishment.Originally Posted by covefarm
When we have another "beer and wings" event, I'm sure we'll check to see if kids are allowed in the venue, and then you be the judge as to whether or not you want your kids to attend. We certainly dont get loaded and do wild things - well, not DURING the event anyway - so the atmosphere is "kid safe".
Sheesh! We certainly want kids to enjoy geocaching as well. Can you imagine what the technology would be like when they're our age?
Only one, but he is a teenager, so he has 20 personalities.Originally Posted by Beach Comber
Thanks so much for your replies regarding children. I just wanted to double check. I am hoping that my crew can make it sometime to an event. Anxious to meet others and share stories and knowledge. Barbara
We have had children at our Beer and Wings events in the past. They are aloud. My son has come along with others. Neoncouple even brought their baby. They are more then welcome to come the the Beer and Wings events in the future as I am sure Mainica1957 will say. Most people don't bring their children to the Beer and Wings events because having an event there is kind of boring for the kids because there is not much for them to do. But they are welcome.
