    Unhappy Palm Help

Computer just died so the new one has XP where I did have 98. Problem is that it will not read/recognize the Garmin GPS through the USB and it will not read/'recognize the palm either. I can still load waypoint using the serial port for my Vista and Map CS. Problem is that port takes for ever to load points. Not sure what I have done work, any ideas?
We hate mindless caches placed in the woods without a reason, nothing but the cache in a plastic bag on a tree.

Windows XP doesn't have built-in support for either device. You have to install the Garmin GPS drivers. There was a CD in the box with the Garmin that should have them on it; ditto for the Palm.

Both are also available on their respective web sites.
